This news gave me blinding rage today. Our genius coach benched Gordon without telling him, Gordon bitched to the media, they had a talk, Hackett announced Gordon will start Sunday, then Gordon bitched to the media again.
All for a guy who literally fumbles every game, who should have been cut two weeks ago.
Vic Fangio would’ve put Melvin in the doghouse and never played him again. Hackett humbled him with a benching, and then lifted him up the very next day with a starting job. We just may see the best Melvin has to offer from here on out. [Reply]

There is no best version of Melvin. It's all bad. And you're still stuck with Wilson. :-) [Reply]

Remember the end of the Cassel years when the fans cheered when he got hurt? That's Russ this year. His level of play and how much the fans hate him....incredible. This may go down with the Hershell Walker trade as biggest rip off of alll time. [Reply]

I can’t remember the last time I have seen a fan base turn so quickly on a player like that. Talk about shattered hopes and dreams. They actually have enough talent to be competitive. Sadly because Russ is such a dumpster fire they will be drafting Top 10 again (and when I say they I mean Seattle). [Reply]

I disagree a bit. That roster has too many holes to compete with teams like KC, but yes they should be a 9 or 10 win team if Russ wasn't so bad. [Reply]

That’s what I mean. Not saying they could compete with KC, just they could and should be more competitive had Russ been even a starting caliber QB. They could easily be a WC team. But the won’t because their QB is bad, bad, bad. At least he can rest comfortably in the most expensive house in Colorado. [Reply]

I was going to say that the worst signing of the offseason was EmbaRuss....but then I quickly remembered that he wasn't a FA signing, but rather the Donkos traded away 5 draft picks and 3 players to make that happen....
