Nzoner's Game Room>50 Beers to Try Before You Die
NewChief 06:18 AM 04-24-2010
Thought the beer snobs here might like this article (and probably critique the hell out of it).

(CBS) You've heard of "100 Bottles of Beer on the Wall"?

How about 50 to try before you die?!
Spoiler!

I’ve had the fluffernutter before at a self serve beer bar , it was awesome but $3.75 an oz!

Yeah, I had Coconut Monster Cookie on tap in Phoenix and it was $15 for a 5oz pour, IIRC.

I've wondered about the cost to make something like that and then the mark up along the way... talking with a a guy who buys kegs at the local beer store, they're barely making anything off a keg like that, which is kind of crazy.

We got a drop of 450 North Slushy’s last week. $10 per 16oz can.

The Bruery makes a ton of 13%+ stouts and you have to visit LA to try/buy most of them... they're only about a mile from Bottle Logic though, which makes for a fun day. :-)

My first FF. Pretty much a perfect BA vanilla stout.

I don't currently have it in the fridge, but picked up a BL Lost Coordinates last weekend.

Yeah, they jacked up the prices a bit during Covid... what was in the ~$22-25 range is now ~$28-32.

I was at The Bruery last weekend and they had Black Tuesday in a 22oz bottle for $41. :-) I opted for a similar bottle that was like $25.

I see Ground Control has Cake Day on tap... that's a good one.

Feel $30+ for BL is approaching secondary market values, especially for their experimental stuff.

For context, it would be like paying $50-60 for a Weller SR.

Good to know. I figured I'd ask here before buying as it seemed steep to me seeing the size of the bottle.
