Denver would be 6-0 with Geno :-) let's all point and laugh at how bad that trade was...oh wait some of us told you all exactly how it would play out [Reply]

:-) One day the front office will tire of the “General”. Then they will bring in someone new and Knowmo will crown him as the best GM ever. [Reply]
Our @TomPelissero just reported on NFL Now @nflnetwork that Russell Wilson is getting an MRI on his hamstring today. Could be a "fairly significant" injury.
Paton is entering the hot seat. His coaching hire looks horrific. The penalties, the decisions. Everything.
My guess is they send Hackett to the glue factory some time in December and tell Paton that he gets one more year to get the right coach to make this right and help Russ succeed.
I think it’s too late though. That Russ trade is getting Paton fired. They desperately need draft picks to fix the OL and get a real weapon.
Basically, the blame can be spread around. The coaching seems to get about 25% or so of the blame, though the plays themselves aren't as bad as what they seem. The receivers haven't helped themselves either, about 10-15%? Wilson's decision-making which affects timing and overall success, about 30% or so. Injuries and overall lack of talent at the skill positions the rest.
This is a great read on the woes in DEN though, great watch. [Reply]

This will give them an ‘excuse’ to bench Russ for a couple games to ‘heal up’.
Then again, they may not wanna do that. If they sit Russ and Rypien comes in and the offense looks better, they’re gonna be under a lot of pressure from the fanbase to play Rypien.
Not only that, but they will have to try and justify to the fanbase why they traded such a haul and signed a guy to a $240 million dollar extension that’s not any better than the backup they have sitting on the bench.

Talk about a mess that would become.
Like I said earlier today, unless he's REALLY hurt, I bet they keep trotting him out there. The potential bad outcomes are just too many and they don't want to have to admit they made a mistake. [Reply]
