The mighty Bills from Buffalo will take the AFC this year.
For two decades I watched people say the Patriots window was closed, that their time was dwindling, that it was all over… seemingly every time those predictions happened, the Patriots went and won another Super Bowl.
A lot of doom talk simply because we lost to the Bengals in the playoffs. Let us not forget that the Bills watched their brother DIE on the field just a few weeks prior. Their heart was simply not in it. If it had been, the Bills would have captured the AFC last year.
The Bills have won 2 of their last 3 in Arrowhead and they’re ready to make it 3 of the last 4.

I mean, if they end up as the 2 and the Chargers are the 7, I could see Buffalo getting knocked out there. You can probably count on Minter having something crazy to throw at Allen, and the Chargers’ offensive identity would be a tough match for Buffalo. Even if Dobbins isn’t healthy.
Yeah, and Herbet has a cannon so he could sling it around in some weather. [Reply]

Patriots too. They moved into their new stadium the season after winning SB36.
As a neutral, I'm predicting the Bills to make the SB next season and maybe the AFCCG will be the last game played at their old stadium. A talent like Josh Allen has to make it to the SB eventually.
This season however belongs to the Chiefs. [Reply]
The Bills aren't near the juggernaut they're made out to be. Winning their Super Bowl was more about what KC didn't do than what they did.
Aside from that, Buffalo's played two games vs above average teams. Baltimore called off the dogs in the 3rd quarter and Joshy completed 30% of his passes vs Houston.
But, as always, they're great at running up the score on weak teams. The media loves that. It's obviously a clear indicator of playoff dominance too. [Reply]
This whole season is such Deja Vu in many ways. Bills have been the flavor of the month for the past 3-4 Decembers. Haven’t been able to close the deal.
And no, I don’t believe this year is their best shot like a lot of talking heads will spew. That was 2021 / the 13 seconds game. Had the top ranked defense that year in most categories.
2022 = Damar Hamlin miracle! It’s going to be a Disney movie when they win it all!
2023 = hottest team in the league, overcoming the Sean McDermott 9/11 disruption!
Now this year, it’s probably going to be Allen as MVP and that’s what they’ll lean on heading into January where they inevitably choke. [Reply]
