I actually enjoy the fact you still have hope. It’s going to make the rest of the season even more painful. [Reply]

Yea, I'd rather be those teams with my 1st round pick and the flexibility to move on from my current QB. [Reply]

Defenses have gotten better at not letting him scramble to his right.
Once QB's reach a certain age, they either get reluctant to take/risk hits or they get knocked out of the league.
As I said, I expect Russ and the offense to do better but a Mahomes should be able to gracefully turn his game into a Rodgers that only scrambles occasionally with age, or a better version yet.
I don't see that with Russ.
Lamar's passing has improved dramatically, but I don't see it happening with him either.
This is huge. Any right-handed QB is going to struggle running to the left (unless they are a contortionist). It's simple enough to plan plays to get the QB moving right, but all we do is drop straight back and let the defense dictate where Wilson moves. Incompetency, thy name is Hackett. [Reply]

Teams even to Denver
Houston
Pittsburgh
Team Denver is better than

Nah. Houston plays more disciplined football than Denver. They look like a decently coached team that lacks blue chip talent. I'd put them above Denver.
And Pittsburgh has more playmakers and with their rookie Qb, have nowhere to go but up. [Reply]

You think Wilson‘s better than Mayfield right now? [Reply]

You can do a planned bootleg against your throwing motion, but the QB needs more time/space unless you can contort like Mahomes.
But I was thinking more of the unplanned scrambles of being careful with rushing lanes and/or a spy to make sure you don't let him go right if he leaves the pocket.
But sure, they could run plays to his strength more. [Reply]
The Broncos weren’t in the hunt at full strength, but now they’re in the hunt without their LT, RB, 2nd best corner, best safety and best edge rusher. :-)
Can’t imagine what Mack and Bosa would have done to Russack. He’d probably have been in the fetal position on every pass play. Run, run, fetal, punt. Mack alone might crush his soul. [Reply]
