I am absolutely heart broken over how far the Broncos have sunk from the once proud and feared team I remember them being. Hard to imagine Sean Payton would seriously consider leaving his cushy, high-paying TV gig to go dig them out from under this.
No 1st or 2nd this year, none next year. Huge QB contract they can’t get out of until 2025, not an overly talented roster, and cap issues once Wilson’s contract accelerates (right around the time those traded picks really start hurting you).
Payton isn’t going to walk into that much uncertainty. No established coach is going to.
Per source, Broncos LT Garett Bolles suffered a broken right leg. Further exams needed to determine severity. Best case is roughly 6 weeks. But there is fear he could miss more. #9sports

The Broncos are ****ed.
Considering how badly Sean Payton wanted to draft Mahomes with the Saints, it seems unlikely he would go to a team that has to play him twice a season… especially without the benefit of a top caliber QB (i.e. not Fat Russell). [Reply]

The Broncos are fucked.
They can have Eric Bieniemy and further widen the draft pick gap between us. [Reply]
