Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

So do you count wins as a QB stat? Because if so, Alex Smith has to be around a top 5 QB for you than and you must be livid we just drafted his replacement. [Reply]
Absolute must read. It's a cover letter Mahomes sent every team before the draft.

Excellent point, Jay's inability to correct his mistakes was/is compounded by the fact that Jay was aloof if you want to be really nice in describing his personality.
He wasn't a team leader, and had no rapport with the team as a whole and with guys individually except for a few of his receivers.
Mahomes grew up around the locker room culture of professional athletes, and is a grinder. He's going to be a early in out late guy who recognises putting in the time and cultivating the relationships with the guys & coaches.
NFL network just reported that the Saints had in fact identified Pat as who they were sold on taking over for Brees. He was their #1 target. [Reply]
Picking a QB based solely on a teams wins and losses is plain stupid. Smith must be a Hall of Famer thinking like that. The result doesn't make the theory correct. It's a flawed way of thinking. Teams passed on Dak and Russell because of that way of thinking. Leaf went number 1 because of the same thinking. So did the slob from LSU the Raiders drafted.
The pick is based on what you can become not the overall teams win loss record.
Mahomes has the skills to become great. Who knows if he will but the talent is there. [Reply]

meh.. he old.. can't seem to let it rip.. concussions and planning retirement soon.. and KC had nothing behind him. Strong roster, so piss on the late #91 and future 1st. They could afford it.

1. He hates that Mahomes is a loser.
2. Leigh Steinberg is his agent
3. His dad got arrested at a game.
