Yep if you are tall and can shoot and reasonably athletic you have a spot.
Also, The athleticism of most guys over 6'4" in the NBA is highly exaggerated. The athleticism of most shorter guards is very underestimated. The amount of people you have to compete with to be a pro if you are 5'11" to 6'3" is insane and things exponentially get easier for you the taller you get. [Reply]

Not really speaking of Kansas results just freshman in general don't seem to be as valuable as they used to now with the NIL portal value. Although it sure looks like Flagg might be a difference maker. (Flory too) [Reply]

I’m pretty sure Moore is the best defender on the team. [Reply]
The only super high level Self recruit who kinda sucked was Josh Selby. That was partly due to injuries and the eligibility issue holding him back. He showed flashes early in his time.
You could probably put Diallo in that group too, but he was also held back by eligibility issues.
Maybe MJ Rice? Injuries ruined him before he could do much.
Guys like Xavier and Grimes were inconsistent, but still really good for freshmen. [Reply]

I'm sorry I can't agree with you on Grimes. He was awful. Now he turned into a player after he transferred but he left alot to be desired in his year here.
Shot 38% from the field, 44% from 2. 1:1 Ast/TO ratio looking like he had no play making at all. Didnt get to the line and when he did he missed. Super avg defender. Xavier was light years better than Quinten when he was here. [Reply]

I mean in comparison to all freshmen, he was good.
Not compared to the expectations for a 5 star guy. [Reply]
