They’re stuck with him for 4 seasons (22-25) no matter how you slice it. Even after 2025, it’s still gonna hurt to get out of that deal ($31 mil. in dead cap).
This season and next season aren’t too bad (cap wise), but those 2024 & 2025 cap numbers (over $50 mil. + both seasons) are gonna sting, especially if he continues to decline.
And what’s even better? The Chiefs will be paying Mahomes significantly less ($44 mil. & 46 mil.) those same 2 years the Donks are breaking the bank on Rusty.
