It seems like nearly every one of my off-season questions have been answered in only 4 short weeks...
1. Can Hackett compete with Reid's coaching staff?.....nope. He's a bottom 3 HC...if not the worst.
2. Was Wilson being held back by Carrol...nope. His last two years of QB play look to be the norm and his hot start in 2020 was an aberration.
3. Denver has a bad roster with non-extent depth? Yep...they have a handful of good not great players.
There isnt a quick fix this time...no draft capital, declining QB eating their resources for years, inadequate coaching....this is a 4 year disaster.
I thought it looked bad on paper...and guess what, it's even worse.
Donks need hire Payton for a billion dollars, have him clean house in the off-season and start the rebuild. It's at least two more seasons before this team is somewhat moving in a positive direction...draft a QB in 2024 when they finally have a 1st round pick. Groom him for a year under Wilson..
The only way to win with Wilson, at the stage, is to have a top 3 defense, top 5 running game and keep games within one score...then hope for some 4th quarter heroics. Not too much different than the LOB years... [Reply]

They aren't going to pay Wilson to sit on the bench for years and Payton would be a terrible fit for his playstyle.
The Broncos are stuck with Brokedick Unlimited for years and should start figuring out how to maximize his diminishing ability. [Reply]
So, just saw an advertisement for Thursday Night Football, and saw that the Broncos were on prime time once again. So this will make three games out of their first five that they're on prime time TV. Easily the worst team ever with so many primetime appearances early on in a season. Pretty funny that the whole nation so often gets to see how bad they are. [Reply]

Did you also see they lied and said 2 high powered offenses :-) [Reply]
Broncos’ DE Randy Gregory will be sidelined anywhere from two to six weeks, depending on how he recovers from the arthroscopic knee surgery that he now needs, per source.
