I got all excited about the digital scale and forgot to look for the hot dogs. For $9.99 I couldn't pass it up, now I gotta figure out how to use the thing, the instructions are crap. [Reply]

Digital scales rule. Just don't forget the tare button. [Reply]
Best sausage I have ever had is a rattlesnake and pheasant sausage but cannot get nationally. Johnsonsville Firecracker brats or Hatch Green Chile are usually my go to at that point. Hot dog's, Nathan's are the best national brand. Not a fan of Hebrew National. There can be some real gems found in regional brands though. [Reply]

Chili should have beans. Chili beans should have beans. [Reply]

I'm using the beans, but I would have anyway; I like beans in my chili. I was just surprised ATK had them in an otherwise traditional "Texas" chili. [Reply]

I thought you said chili NEVER had beans. Not true chili. Please advise. [Reply]

Tare button was easy to find, to change from oz to grams etc, you have find the unit button on the bottom, I thought that was kind of a pain in the azz. [Reply]
I have. I struggle to buy it, honestly. I have hardbound annuals from every year of Cook's Illustrated, and the show rarely has anything that doesn't end up in the magazine... but I love their books in general. Would readily recommend it to anyone looking for a general cookbook. [Reply]
