Took me a long time to realize that our proud Chiefs "tradition" of running the ball was nothing but a coping mechanism for our overall mediocrity.
What sold it for me was that playoff loss to the Ravens in 2010. How could such a potent clock-control and efficient offense with the most dynamic and electric RB in the entire league in Jamaal Charles get utterly blown out like that? I think everyone understands that it's ideal to have a strong ground game. That's not groundbreaking news.
