Spoiler!

The Latest:

Marquise Brown & Rashee Rice are back in the Chiefs’ training facility.

Andy Reid said Hollywood Brown is “ahead of schedule” and attacking his rehab, but he wouldn’t commit to a certainty of seeing him this season. Called him “a relentless worker.”

DeAndre Hopkins has 11 regular season games to get up to get fully comfortable within the #chiefs offense and with Patrick Mahomes. By the time the postseason arrives, I'm told there is a real chance Hollywood Brown could return. Which would make KC's it's most complete at the…

If everyone is healthy after preseason you will point to this fact, if a key player is hurt you cant point to this fact? One other thing to consider is that Brown is injury prone. Everytime, every play he's on the football field increases the likelihood he might get hurt. Every time he is not on the field reduces the likelihood. Its such a simple and basic concept.

Really sucks for him too. He was assuredly banking on a big season and big contract next season.

Let Worthy learn. Then add a vet later in the season.

Hell, maybe this gives us an opportunity to extend him cheaper.
Not gonna lie. I had the same initial reaction when I read this.

Was just expecting the one cheap year of Hollywood and then 'he gone'. If Andy likes what he sees when we get him plugged into the offense later in the season, it may allow Veach to get a cheap short term extension done with him?

Yeah, Andy has a long way to go to catch up to someone like Marty about being set in his ways. :-) :-)

Can we just combine BWillie and KCC? They're pretty much the same person at this point.

BWillie_Connection?
KC_Willie?

I guess the problem is if he's back for the run-in and plays great someone will surely still offer him a boatload even with the injury history. Real bummer and a 180 from all the previous noise so especially disappointing

I am sure they were probably aware he wasn't healing correctly and pulled the trigger on JuJu as insurance.

If Hollywood is out for the year Veach should be ready to make a move for a WR before the trade deadline.

We have the $$$.

Does anyone actually know how long this is going to be?

I'm assuming he'll be ready to go like a little before the playoffs

It depends on what they do during the operation.

It could be 6-8 weeks, it could be the whole season.

No. Even without Hollywood, this is a very solid WR room.

I'll be honest. If he's back for the playoffs and shows out (or just helps our offense out in any way), then I'll be happy for him for whatever happens if we have another banner to hang.

If somebody gives him a stack of cash, good for him. If he doesn't get the offers he wants on the FA market and is able to come back for another year (or two) with us on a cheap short term extension? All the better.

He seems like a good dude so I'm rooting for him. Hope we're able to see him at some point THIS year.
