A couple of thoughts-
1) This is not last year. We're not hoping Toney and Moore develop into quality starters. We have '22's #1 WR in Juju, and the NFL's fastest man Worthy in development. Watson and Hardman as role players. It's not nearly as dire as the first half of last year was. It's not GREAT, but it's not Toney shoveling pick 6's to the defense bad.

2)IF you're going to pick a guy up in a trade, Carolina would be one place that might be ready to shed some veterans and salary. Thielen would be a steady-Eddie professional and affordable. Diontae Johnson is more dynamic, but you have to realize he's looking for a big payday in '25. So that's likely a half season rental too-and will be much more costly. Carolina has young WR's that need to play to evaluate, so that's ONE place where maybe moving some guys makes sense.

Who gives a damn if you overpay slightly for a threepeat? As of now, you’re looking at a weaker WR corps than last year’s and a less effective Kelce. That’s going to make it pretty difficult.

And why do people act like JJSS is the same player he was two years ago?

No thanks. We don't need yet another tight end and Pitts has the worst separation score in the league for pass catchers right now IIRC.

Thielen made it known he wanted to come to KC for cheap to win a ring prior to the 2023 season and Veach/Reid said thanks but no thanks. Not sure that we would want him now nearly a year and a half later right after he tore up his hamstring.

I say that and I have always been a Thielen fan.

It's not weaker than last year.

It's not.

The #1 entering the season last year shoveled pick 6's and dropped everything else and currently resides on Cleveland's practice squad. The #2 from the beginning of the season is the #5 even after the injuries to #1 and #2.

Juju doesn't NEED to be a #1. A steady #3 is all.

Worthy may be a rookie, but he's got two 50 plus yard TD's in four games. He's starting to run more of a route tree. He's more advanced right now than Rice was at this point last year.

It's not worse than last year. It's just not.

That's not the same thing as saying everything is GREAT, because obviously, when you lose your best two WR's, it hurts. But this is not as bad as last year's crew early in the year.

Meh. Situations change. We were trying to go younger; they didn't feel like he was a fit.

Now we're down two WR's to injury, it's different.

A steady vet is exactly what KC needs.

Some of these comments......

We're trying to do something historic. A one year guy with a high ceiling is the choice here. Not some dude that can "work out over a few years". Holy shit, read the room.

Really? I am curious what happened to him as he was supposed to be a sure thing when he was drafted.

If Tyreek didn’t cost too much I’d say the choice is obvious. Heck I’d take Waddle
