Nzoner's Game Room>****The Official Kadarius Toney Thread****

All things Yung Joka here

The interview is interesting. Kadarius shows a lot of intelligence with his answers to the football-related questions. And a great work ethic. Think Veach was onto something with this kid.

KaTo's case they were, and he got no chances after the problems.

That's harsh, but reasonable.

This is a new year, and hopefully a clean slate.

It's fair ta call it fly or die.
Wasn't the Pink Panther's housekeeper called Kato?

The entire thing with him last year was so weird. I'll never forget how open that guy was getting in the Lions game. I mean it was crazy. And then...

CUT CANDIDATES

In being part of two penalties on his first preseason snap last week, totaling negative receiving yards for the game, Toney perfectly encapsulated his Chiefs experience to this point -- and the reality that’s staring him and the team in the face.

The Chiefs might no longer have room for the player they once traded multiple draft picks for and who once helped them win a Super Bowl. Toney had a disastrous Week 1 last year, couldn’t hold onto his WR or punt-return roles and was inactive for the Super Bowl in February. Injuries have been a consistent issue for him, but the bottom line is that Toney clearly hasn’t proven his worth this preseason, even after Andy Reid tried to turn up the pressure a bit through the media.

Even with Marquise Brown’s injury, it’s hard to see a path where Toney is in the Chiefs’ plans this season.

I guess you can IR a guy prior to cut-down now.

Only way I see Toney making the team is if they IR Brown. And the only way I see him surviving Brown being activated is if he's active (which seems like a long-shot) and impactful in the first 2 weeks.

IF the team puts Brown on the IR and IF they find the trust to give Toney a real shot as a gameday active and WR3, I think he'll take the opportunity and run with it.

But the ship may have sailed. They clearly value his talent but I just don't think they trust the guy a bit. And he really has nobody to blame but himself for that.

You cut him. He'd rather be Young Joka

He should've been cut mid-season last year.

To what purpose?

Giving Moore additional snaps?

There's never been a reason to dump him apart from being punitive and that's not something an NFL team should be doing. Nobody ever forced him off the roster.

This year things appear quite different in that regard. The addition of Brown and Worthy, as well as the retention of Hardman and possible development of Ross (who looks better, if still not quite an versatile contributor) have changed the calculus for him substantially.

Why shouldn't an NFL team punish (cut) a player for singlehandedly losing multiple games while contributing nothing positive?

If Toney makes the team I will shoot my mom

Mahomes hates him. Hes toxic on the field. Lazy. Actively makes the team worse.

You cut a player when you have a better option.

You don't cut a player in a fit of pique.

The Chiefs didn't have a better option.

I'll trade a 3rd/6th every year for a player that made a play that turns around a SB from a loss to a win. That momentum and field position changed everything. Thanks for that but he's doesnt seem interested in football, cut him and lets see if he becomes a successful rapper.

We will always have this. Thanks for this. The rest of your time here, ya can fuck off.

Kadarius Toney was a huge reason we won SB 57, had many up and downs but thank you for everything 🫡

10 million dollar physical talent with a 5 dollar brain. Too bad. Such a waste.
