Best KU game I've ever been to was that Selby buzzer beater game against USC. I went to the game vs Baylor in 2020 right before the world went to shit when it was #1 vs #2 and KU got shellacked.
Shit, they've lost the last 3 games I've been too. I'm probably the only person in the world who can say that. [Reply]

Do us all a favor. Don't attend another KU game..... ever. [Reply]

Then as for the game itself. I have never seen a regular season matchup from the Jayhawks, Royals and Chiefs that has ever come close to matching that intensity and I do not know if I ever will again. With Mizzou leaving the conference and building what felt like an insurmountable lead, it was like the energy that had built up from the game, Mizzou leaving the conference and the breakup of the Big 12 built to a crescendo in AFH with T-Rob’s block. The emotional “fan” in me thinks no block will touch that one.
The pragmatic side of me knows the stakes of Remy’s block. It’s the National Championship game, and there is a high percentage chance Love makes that and a higher percentage chance we’re now going down the court with non reinjured Bacot towering in the middle with us down 1. It’s an alternate reality I’m not sure I’d ever have the bravery to play out. So… Heart will always say TRob, right now my cold and calculative brain says Remy.
What a week this has been, work has been hellacious and this has been a massive boost. Celebrating with y’all has been an honor.
The honor is mine. I love this place.
That Trob /Taylor team gave us so many big moments. There wasn’t a ton of talent but the fuckers had heart for days.
Those Mizzou games were both heartattack Hawks games. The one at Misery was when Taylor got the rebound on a FR and beat Saunders to the bucket. It’s probably not, but I think it’s as fast as I’ve seen anyone move with the ball. That play and the TRob block are both tremendous plays that encapsulated the season. TRob and Taylor making ridiculous plays at huge times to win games.
Those guys would play for the championship and Misery would lose to Norfolk State. :-) [Reply]

My favorite play from that year is the alley oop against Baylor. Tyshawn to T Rob.
I was at that game as well. A few Baylor fans tried to “occupy” the Phog. We struggled early, but then dominated after that dunk.
It was a weird pop too. As soon as he dunked it, the Phog went completely silent in disbelief. Then exploded once we all realized that we really saw that. [Reply]
This is going to be insane lol. I’d go but my kids are 4 and 8 and won’t enjoy it or be able to see anything. 08 was a disaster but was fun as hell [Reply]
