I'd have to believe Jeremiah Earl Robinson doesn't leave our backyard if the FBI thing wasn't happening.
The interesting thing on TyTy to me is what impact Remy has on recruiting. Because I believe TyTy was probably told by Cal that he can come run the show and shoot whenever he wants and self just won't let you do that. Even at the beginning of the season you can see multiple posts of "oh Remy is hot and I'm sure self hates that shot" kind of posts. But in the end on the biggest stage he let him cook, taking shots that would surely get most of our guys throughout Self's time here benched immediately. I think having a more relaxed, less strict view of our offense in recruits eyes will be big. [Reply]
It's almost like they are trying to find anything to charge us with something. How bad do they look if they come back and say we didn't find enough proof to justify any disciplinary actions? [Reply]
Well if they punish us on something that they can't prove and also would be totally legal now and also you could assume about any big program then you can bet KU will sue the next day.
You can't punish Kansas for playing a guy the Clearinghouse cleared twice.
Although that said, I'm pretty sure they have done that in the past. [Reply]
I was in the building for the TRob block and that game rivals any game I've ever been to (and I've been to the Bautista bat flip game, the Kawhi shot game, and the Chiefs/Texans comeback game among many others including game 7s at the NBA/NHL level). Most people wouldn't grasp the emotional intensity of that one if they weren't watching it. [Reply]

Lol. Bautista bat flip only got him crushed by the Royals
I was there for Mario’s Miracle. Top that. [Reply]
KU-Mizzou in 2012 was incredible. Best Kansas game I’ve been to. Incredible atmosphere. It’s hard to describe how the energy in the building grew as we made that comeback, then the building exploded on T Rob’s and-1. Then, it went to an even higher level on the block. Just insane.
Kansas-Ohio State in the Phog that year was a good one too. [Reply]

Irrelevant. I would argue that sports moments are about the moment itself, not what it necessarily led to weeks or months later. And that was a MOMENT.
The Kawhi shot wasn't any more or less awesome to see because Durant ended up getting injured a month later in game 5 ending with a Raptors championship. [Reply]

Yeah, I've been to many KU games over the years and nothing ever came close to that one. Never heard anything louder in my life than the reaction after the TRob block. [Reply]
Lot of good replies about the block. I can’t disagree. I was a freshman at KU and the days leading up to the game had a tension and energy on campus that was never matched again (our AFH match against Kentucky my senior year was the only game that could be in that conversation).
Then as for the game itself. I have never seen a regular season matchup from the Jayhawks, Royals and Chiefs that has ever come close to matching that intensity and I do not know if I ever will again. With Mizzou leaving the conference and building what felt like an insurmountable lead, it was like the energy that had built up from the game, Mizzou leaving the conference and the breakup of the Big 12 built to a crescendo in AFH with T-Rob’s block. The emotional “fan” in me thinks no block will touch that one.
The pragmatic side of me knows the stakes of Remy’s block. It’s the National Championship game, and there is a high percentage chance Love makes that and a higher percentage chance we’re now going down the court with non reinjured Bacot towering in the middle with us down 1. It’s an alternate reality I’m not sure I’d ever have the bravery to play out. So… Heart will always say TRob, right now my cold and calculative brain says Remy.
What a week this has been, work has been hellacious and this has been a massive boost. Celebrating with y’all has been an honor. [Reply]
