The mighty Bills from Buffalo will take the AFC this year.
For two decades I watched people say the Patriots window was closed, that their time was dwindling, that it was all over… seemingly every time those predictions happened, the Patriots went and won another Super Bowl.
A lot of doom talk simply because we lost to the Bengals in the playoffs. Let us not forget that the Bills watched their brother DIE on the field just a few weeks prior. Their heart was simply not in it. If it had been, the Bills would have captured the AFC last year.
The Bills have won 2 of their last 3 in Arrowhead and they’re ready to make it 3 of the last 4.

It’s true Allan has out played Mahomes this year and Mahomes has been uncharacteristically not up to his normal standards. But despite that he’s been there when it’s needed and we are undefeated.
All fans talk lots of gibberish to support their team. But even the most diehard bill‘s fan can’t seriously think that Allan is a better quarterback than Mahomes.
They actually do think Allen is better. They truly believe it.
If he had another MVP and 2 titles we could at least discuss it but he has won NOTHING even with a better defense than Mahomes over the course of their careers [Reply]

They’re convinced Sean McDermott is the only thing holding back their team from winning rings. If that’s true, it will be hilarious if they are stuck with McDermott for the rest of Allen’s career. From what I understand, the Buffalo owner really likes McDermott. [Reply]
Allen lost to Mahomes TWICE with a top 3 defense. Simply incredible. So stop with the excuses.
Mahomes has beaten those top defenses, Baltimore #1, philly #1, Niners top 3 multiple times. Simply incredible the quality of defense Pat has slayed. [Reply]

Fans tend to evaluate coaches almost solely on game management decisions and play calling, because that’s all they see.
Easy to blame coaches for questionable decisions. Coaches rarely get much credit for managing their players, player development, self scouting, game planning, etc.
My hunch is that McDermott may well be better at the unseen stuff than Bills Fan realizes. Getting a better “in game” coach doesn’t always make your team better. [Reply]
Remember that first playoff meeting where Spags blitz packages completely eviscerated that Bills offense. He got put in hell. 2nd meeting threw 2 easy TDs after 4th stringers fell down. 3rd meeting scored 1 TD after the drive should have ended on an illegal pass, Chiefs drop an easy pick 6 AND fumble 6, Hardman fumble at the 1 or they get completely blown out. Any drive they had was aided by some fluke. NONE of those losses are on McDermott [Reply]

In the Playoff game last season, I think McDermott had a pretty good strategy. His defense had a lot of injury problems. So he ran a ball control offense with 180 yards rushing and a dink & dunk passing game. Buffalo held the ball for 63% of the game clock. McDermott’s only big mistake was the fake punt, but Mecole Hardman immediately bailed him out with a fumble on the goal line.
The Buffalo fans want to act like Josh Allen is always perfect, but he made 3 big mistakes on their final drive against KC. He had a fumble and interception quality throw, but got away with both of them. Chiefs defense flat out blew it on those 2 plays. Later in the drive, Allen refused to throw an easy checkdown to Stefon Diggs. That would have picked up a first down and gained 15-20 yards. But Allen held the ball and tried to go for the end zone. His throwing motion was disrupted by Chris Jones.
Blame the coach. Blame the kicker. But their “perfect” QB made several huge mistakes at the end of that game and was damn lucky to avoid an actual turnover with the game on the line. Inconvenient truth! [Reply]

If Allen truly was elite, he'd have put a dagger in us the final drive. Settling for 3 loses the game even if Bass makes it. He tried to give the game away twice and missed wide open guys. How is that on McDermott? [Reply]

It’s too bad the Chiefs defense didn’t take advantage of those turnover worthy plays. It would have forced Buffalo fans to admit Josh screwed up. He was let off the hook on 2 horrible plays.
Other than the fake punt call (which led to nothing for KC), I think McDermott did a very good job in that game. He knew the Buffalo defense was very injured and could not stop the Chiefs offense. It was a very good strategy to run a ball control offense and keep Mahomes on the sideline for 63% of the game. [Reply]
Buffalo faces a backup Chiefs secondary matchup 2 and can't capitalize. Chiefs get all backup LBs matchup 3and feast on that defense all night long. That's the difference.... [Reply]

I mean Buffalo did capitalize on the 2021 problems for the Chiefs defense. Buffalo scored 36 in that 13 seconds game. But they still lost because Mahomes, Tyreek, Kelce, & Andy Reid threw a perfect game at the #1 ranked defense in the league. [Reply]
