Nzoner's Game Room>50 Beers to Try Before You Die
NewChief 06:18 AM 04-24-2010
Thought the beer snobs here might like this article (and probably critique the hell out of it).

(CBS) You've heard of "100 Bottles of Beer on the Wall"?

How about 50 to try before you die?!
Spoiler!

The Beer Temple is always a good spot to grab some pours and is also a top liquor store in town.

People have different taste/palates. Crazy.

Their barley wines are low key forgotten in the aging process. Took a 13 home a month ago and it was tremendous. Still sad they don’t make more barley wines. Also got a double barrel for home and can’t wait to try it.

Well, color me impressed, Boulevard stepped up their stout game with this one.

At first sniff it was similar to one of the more decent homebrews I've made (yeah, so I have low expectations for Blvd stouts :-)), but that's opened up some and they've seriously upped their game with the thickness.

This is a great stout, especially at the $17/4pk here... bought a couple as I was cautiously optimistic (beer guy at the beer store even asked, don't you hate Boulevard? :-)), but will be grabbing a 4 pack or two.

Thanks for posting it, MTG.

Not a huge fan myself but they sell the shit out of it here in Missouri.

'13 and '14 are drinking great right now.

Not sure how often you're here but Revolution is filling the barleywine void. Right now they have 2019 A Midwinter Night's Jacket which is their base barleywine aged 12 months in High West A Midwinter Night’s Dram ex-Port barrels.

I split a crowler earlier this week and was blown away.

Good to hear, I have a 4 pack in my kitchen that I haven’t tried yet.

On point. They've done a strong ale or two with cinnamon and it works really well. In terms of peach cobbler, it could use more peach, but very well done nonetheless.
