Last thread has well over 10,000 replies. Its body is breaking down like The Undertaker's. Seeing as we might have crossed the threshold into a new era in the business, here's a fresh new thread.
From the All out 2022 post show press conference onwards, and I mean you could even go as far back as him burying Hangman on TV before that, to Wrestlemania 2024 he's taken every chance he could get to insult, belittle and smear the company. He's leaked stories, he's buried AEW talent and management in on air promos, off air promos for the fans in attendance, in print interviews, on his social media, on podcast interviews and most infamously of all in press conferences. He's lied and distorted the truth over and over to make AEW look bad and make him look good.
Him taking the opportunity to mock Will Ospreay, a guy who has done nothing to CM Punk and I'm unsure if they've ever even spoke to one another, for his ALL IN tattoo on some post wrestlemania show with The Miz confirmed for me that it didn't matter how often AEW tried to ignore him and move on he was never going to stop.
So yeah airing the footage is pretty petty and I don't know if it will do much in terms of long term ratings or buyrates. But I understand Tony Khan and AEW wanting to fight back and if the footage shows Punk was talking total shit again and it's embarrassing for him then good. I want to see that. [Reply]
:-) Well, yeah. Probably would've been a good idea for the EVPs and Khan to stamp out all the bullshit coming out about Punk wanting Cabana fired and actually punishing Hangman for being a retard and bringing it all out into the public to begin with. [Reply]
CM Punk is a blatant hypocrite, narcissist, and incredibly bitter. He's also one of a very, very small handful of individuals on Earth who can actually draw ratings and has a legitimate cult of personality.
Knowing all these things, the EVPs friends STILL engaged in a bullshit whisper campaign to tarnish his character then took it public. Even if they weren't explicitly telling stories to journalists, the Bucks and Kenny should have shut that shit down publicly considering, you know, they're fucking EVPs and that's their job. And Khan is just as complicit for standing and watching like a dumbass. [Reply]

It's fucking bizarre. You bring in Phil Brooks and then privately slander him to the dirt sheets and publicly have one of your 'top' stars go off script to bury him and you don't expect for him to eventually erupt? [Reply]
It is hilarious they pissed him off so thoroughly he went back and mended fences with HHH and a whole bunch of talent at least partially out of pure spite. [Reply]

Might of realized that despite the issues he had with WWE, it was on a whole more professionally ran with clear guidelines as to what is and is not acceptable as far as promos go. [Reply]

They should have used any reason to keep Jungle Boy off TV. Jungle Boy sucks.
Instead they are going to give CM Punk free publicity while making themselves look lile shit. [Reply]
There's also the whole thing of you guys were the ones that exiled the dude for almost a year in the first place because you were so pissed at him for his part [Reply]
Yeah. That seems to be a forgotten bit to the story. Punk wasn't even the one telling him no. Literally EVERY one else involved in production told him no first, he kept being an obstinate jackass about it, and they finally went to Punk to have him put his foot down. Then Perry does his spot on the All In pre show and directly trolls Punk by running his mouth knowing he's at gorilla position since he's in the opener. [Reply]
