I Belize that’s what Pete was saying in the postgame presser.

Russ hates it but Carroll actually did know what he was doing in how he utilized him. It was glaringly obvious during the game that the Broncos offense was most efficient with Russ as a game manager limiting mistakes and letting the playmakers do the bulk of the work

The Chiefs did not have any depth at edge rusher. They drafted Karlaftis in the 1st round and he played 51 snaps. Their other 1st-round pick, McDuffie, is one of the starting CBs, which was a position of concern for them. Their 7th-round pick Jaylen Watson played 33 snaps at CB.

7th rounder Pacheco is their 3rd RB. They rebuilt their WR group this offseason and 2nd rounder Skyy Moore played as the 2nd-string WR.

That's where most of their rookie snaps came from. So maybe the Chiefs roster was not very deep before the draft; it looks like the Broncos had a more game-ready roster before the draft. Sadly, it looks like this roster has been entrusted to a moron.

I had no idea the Dungkeys had a more game ready roster and we were lacking and that’s why we played so many rookies!! :-):-)

It's amazing how delusional a large portion of them are.

They've said for years now that their roster was better than KC's and Mahomes was the only advantage. Now they have a supposedly upper tier QB and the result is the same.

One has to wonder if his lack of passes over the middle is related to passing lanes and his height.

The funniest part is that their fans believed the Seahawks would give up their franchise qb if they believed he had anything left.

There's two parts to being a coach.

1. All the shit you do in the offseason and from Monday-Saturday. Makes up 99.99% of the job, and it's the stuff that most fans don't know shit about in determining whether a coach is good or bad. Only thing they've got to make that judgment is a team's preparation, execution, and what they see on the field.

2. Decision-making during the game. This is the part of coaching where everybody and their Madden-playing mothers is a goddamn genius, and it's what people like to think makes a truly great coach. They think some coaches are better at this shit than others, but in most cases (this includes a bunch of Andy Reid's so-called time management losses) the decisions are a fucking crap shoot.

You can rack up some bad losses attributable to #2 throughout your career and still keep your job. Those aren't the things that make a bad coach bad. Staley completely fucked away his team's trip to the postseason last year. But the team really likes his #1, so he stays. And I'll bet he even gets an extension in a couple years.

In Hackett's first game as a head coach, he royally fucked up #2. That much is obvious. And yes, that was the decision that led to a direct loss on the field. It's egregious and horrible because it's the most obvious thing fans can point to, but that's it. They don't see or know how to evaluate part #1.

I'm saying that Hackett's part #1 is also horrible, and it's pretty evident based on how his team played throughout the game. They didn't execute. They had some penalties (and several eye-popping no-call holds). The Donks started slow. They flat-out weren't as prepared as they should have been.

Damn...starting OG out for 4 weeks along with Simmons.

I read his back-up was the one that got blown up on the goal-line fumble...
