I definitely do not have a #2 team, it takes all I've got to focus on one team.

Yes, well you never quit on your team either... The same can't be said for many of the other Cheating Donx "true fans" on this site.

See, I've gone the other path. My wife's side of the family are Cornhusker fans - it's a sickness. They get in arguments about Nebraska volleyball games.

Anyway, I put my passive aggressive charms to good use.

Back when SF and the Cowgirls were the two best teams in the NFC and Steve Young and Jerry Rice were fun to watch and I had just come to Cali and didn't have Sunday Ticket...

Yeah, I rooted for the Niners as my second team.

Those days are long gone.

But my Teams were always the Chiefs and Jayhawks basketball

And you get legitimate immense respect for that

#2 team? :-) What are you, 12? Next you'll go full Mav and have 4 or 5

Sorry but it's still just weird.
How is it weird? I became a Broncos fan primarily because my dad watched every game when I was little. Likewise, when we would visit extended family they would be watching and cheering for the Bills. What's the difference?

Let me clear that by "extended family", I do NOT mean in-laws. They are Cowboy fans and I'm not sure what kind of brain trauma would be required for me to ever root for that team.

Not nearly as much as required to root for the #1 cheating franchise in the NFL. :-)

I can kinda see both sides of the argument. For example, My team is the Chiefs. If I were to name a number 2 team, it would be the Packers. I would love to see the Chiefs play the Packers in the Superbowl. But make no mistake. Anytime they play each other, I am pulling entirely for the Chiefs to win. I will root for the Packers to win every week, but I'm not invested enough to make the effort to find a stream to watch their game. If they're playing on a local station at a different time than the Chiefs game, I watch them. Even during the bad years it was that way. Oh, and it only works because they're in the NFC. Every AFC team other than the Chiefs can lose every week.

Is it because the Packers franchise is almost as old as the earth??

I'm sorry but there's no such thing as a number 2 team or 2nd favorite team. You're either all in as a fan or a bandwagon piece of trash
