Wanted to get paid before taking a snap, and before the Dungkeys end up in the cellar again. He knows there’s a disparity in the weapons he had in Seattle, and the turds circling the bowl in Dungver. Didn’t want to have to negotiate a contract when their record didn’t get any better from last season.

Saw this on NFL.com

With two years left on Wilson's deal, the Broncos could have hedged and let the 2022 season play out before determining if a big extension made sense. Instead, they backed up their all-in play and their belief that the 33-year-old is the missing piece to their playoff puzzle.

What they didn't tell you is Wilson was going to hold out if he wasnt paid now...

Russ is about Russ...maybe you guys should listen to the Seahawk fans...he played there for 10 years.

Jesus...$55 million this year and $57 million next year. :-)

This is awesome...

Bye Bye Chubb...and any hope of bringing in FAs.

It's cool...you still have the draft....oh Snap.

Wilson gives ZERO shits...he got his.

Interesting.

Well, that's better (for Denver).

So they're only really tied to him for 3 years. Bad news is those 2 'cheap' years (this year and next year) are no longer cheap. Gonna be paying him significantly more than the Chiefs are paying Mahomes the next 2 years. I guess that's the price you have to pay to be able to get out of the contract soon if you want to.

Shows me that Denver isn't quite as sold on him as they alluded to . . . . . .

In the intermediate term, yes. But in the short term, it's a boat anchor if he doesn't perform at a very high level.

Oh..they are sold for the next 3 years. Will have no money or draft picks for the bulk of his deal. Moobs/ Seahawks played them like a fiddle..

This amount of guaranteed money..and the player capital they gave up is epic.

It was a bad deal when they had him for $24 million....Seahawks are still paying $26 million this year to move on....Moobs just double dipped into an addition $33 million of new money ($88 million) in 2022.

If he gave a flying shit about building a winner in Denver...this deal would look a lot different.

For sure but they have zero wiggle room now.

He either takes them deep into the playoffs or they failed.

Let's get one thing straight before one of you morons go there...this team is about half as talented as the Rams, so don't even start...

Geno...at home with those weapons....against a below average defense? I'd give it a coin flip in Russ first game behind a sub par O line and average WRs

Now it's up to Goodell to make good on his "assurances"....Walton didnt invest $4.6 billion then dole out a massive contract to become a laughing stock in his first year.

Oh no doubt they get 2 to 3 wins where we scratch our heads and go yup told you all. On top of a cheap, thin air advantage? 9 to 10 wins with a very little talented team
