Not nearly as hilarious as it would be if after trading for WalRuss, Denver still gets swept by KC like they did in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 and finishes with a losing record like 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021. :-) [Reply]

But you're Knowshow.....playing the Jets is the same as playing the Bills.
For reference...Donks allowed 9 PPG against those bottom feeders. Against the AFCW...they allowed 25 PPG. Replace the Lions, Jets and Jaguars with the Titans, Bills and Packers and lets see where they rank.
Shutting out the Jets in Wilsons 3rd ever game... looks the same as shutting out the Bills when they compile stats.
Not to mention....looking at yds/game doesn't even begin to tell the whole story.
As crappy as their offense was, they didn't turn it over much and were able to limit the defense's time on the field.
On a per play basis, Denver's D was far from elite. Basically league average. And that was with Fangio masking deficiencies. [Reply]
