You say “more reputable sources” and then include one (statsmuse) which is labeled as “deep passes”, but is actually just all passes. Did you even look at it? You thought Tom Brady had 719 deep pass attempts in 2021?
Also, look around in the NFL Next Gen stats. About Wilson: “He has been the top downfield passer in the NFL since the advent of the Next Gen Stats era in 2016, leading the league in passing yards (5,369), passing touchdowns (56), completions (156) and attempts (378) in that span.”

The other, of course, is PFF. LOL
Yep, until defenses figured him out.
I’m not gonna lie, I’m gonna fucking enjoy watching Dungver once again struggle through yet ANOTHER rookie coach (what’s that 3-4 in a row now :-) ) Like the last 2-3 haven’t been enough, you guys just keep doing the same fucking thing over and over and over and over and over and over again. You went from a players coach with Vajona, to a hard ass with Fangio, to the biggest pussy sounding coach yet. Light practices, not starting starters in a completely new system, hugging it up with his players, him and Russ aren’t coach and player they’re partners. Your team is gonna look softer than ice cream. And it’s gonna be so fucking glorious!! The best part??? You turds think THIS is FINALLY the right combination, not the last 12, this is the ONE!!! What’s the definition of insanity??? [Reply]

"Defenses figured him out" means, of course that he went 6-1 with 12 TDs and 3 INTs to finish 2020. [Reply]

Cherry picking is fun. I’m pretty sure Alex Smith would have gone 6-1 if his defense allowed 15 ppg. And yet, even including that stretch, he’s 12-11 since he started seeing a lot of 2 deep.
Any reason you left out the playoff game btw? I guess those don’t matter? For once, his defense failed to limit the opponent’s points and he was helpless to overcome it. 11-27, 174 yds, 5 sacks, double digit loss. Not to mention a really bad pick 6. [Reply]

You new here?
Broncos = bad, very bad, bottom of the barrel, will never see another winning season until the team moves to St Louis.
Chiefs = great, elite, most amazing team to ever grace the league, with the most amazing, and quite frankly extremely good looking GOAT of a quarterback, will never suffer another season without a SB bid.

Is there a good pick 6?
I'm fine with saying he finished the season he got "figured out" at 6-2 with 14 TDs and 4 INTs. [Reply]

Sorry, I may have provided the wrong link to StatMuse.
I didn’t say, for the record, that DangeRuss sucks at the deep ball. Was just pointing out that he is not what he once was and that your and KnowMo’s contention that he is currently ‘the best deep ball passer in the league’ is incorrect. Maybe at one time he was. He’s not that guy anymore. Whether you both want to accept it or not.
And as far as my sources I cited, I’ll take my chances with them over Barry the Blogger. [Reply]

StatMuse is a bot, it doesn’t always understand what you’re asking for. I played around with it some, and I don’t think it knows how a deep pass is different from any other pass.
Wilson was the #1 deep passer from 2016-2020, and then he was the #8 deep passer while injured in 2021. That doesn’t mean he’ll be the best deep passer in 2022, but it’s very likely that he will be near the top. [Reply]
