Season starts tonight with Knicks and Celtics followed by Lakers and TWolves.

Will history be made early in the 2nd game?

Remember when Stern vetoed the Chris Paul to the Lakers trade a decade or so ago?

Silver probably loved Dallas just handing LA Luka without even asking any other team though.

Could a LeBron trade be coming? How are those 2 supposed to co-exist? They're a little redundant, and the defensive issues are obvious.

This sucks so bad. This trade is so awful I have a hard time believing there isn’t some sort of tampering going on behind the scenes. Last year was such an amazing run just to get to the finals. I’m done with the NBA.

It’s like trading Joe Burrow for Aaron Rodgers.

I’d love it but I can’t imagine that happening.

Shams claiming on ESPN that none of the players or even LeBron knew this was coming.

Imagine Nico Harrison watching the entire basketball universe thinking Shams was hacked rather than believe you actually made that trade

Mavericks could have gotten an absolute haul for Luka, but instead are getting a 31 almost 32 year old Anthony Davis, a role player, and a 2029 1st round pick. How did they come up with 2029?

Jerry Jones and his Brian Schottenheimer hire is now only the second worst decision by a Dallas sports team during this past week.

That GM could have kept his job for the next decade with Luka.

Instead they’re going to chase him out of Dallas after this year

LeBron James learned of the Davis-Doncic trade after the Knicks game when it broke while he was out to dinner with his family, sources close to James told ESPN. James was surprised by the news, is processing it and had no idea it was in the works, sources said.

That was my first reaction. Hell, it might be the dumbest trade in any sport. It's gotta be the worst player-for-player trade ever, at least.

Imagine the phone call

Mavs- “we want AD”

Lakers- “not available”

Mavs- “for Luka”

Lakers- “AD will be there in the morning”

"I believe that defense wins championships," Mavs general manager Nico Harrison told ESPN's Tim MacMahon, explaining his motivation to deal Doncic for Davis. "I believe that getting an All-Defensive center and an All-NBA player with a defensive mindset gives us a better chance. We're built to win now and in the future."

No explanation as to why he didn’t ask any other team in the league about offers for a MVP candidate in his prime but this guy is unfit to run a NBA team. Kyrie and AD are 32 years old.

I saw someone say it would be like the Royals trading Bobby Witt Jr for the current version of Mike Trout.
