RunKC 12:59 PM 03-15-2023

Breaking: FA WR JuJu Smith-Schuster is signing with the #Patriots , sources tell @theScore

Only 26 years old, the 2018 Pro Bowler comes off a strong season for the #Chiefs, with 78/933/3.

Juju was simply outstanding with us. His connection with Pat mentally was as strong as any wide receiver Pat has played with imo. It's no coincidence that the down years Juju has had has been when he's played with garbage QB's. The times he's played with a decent passer he's flourished. Fullstop. Is Skyy, Toney or Remigio gonna produce like him? Not for me.

Rice and Juju rotating the slot means there's no let up for the defense and we can keep both fresh. I'd be all for him to return tbh though it might see my guy Ross get cut which would be rough ugh.

Bring him in and put him on IR, we'll need an injury replacement by the second half of the season.

He won't cost much and Mahomes likes him. May as well.

If he can be even 75%-80% of what he was with the Chiefs two years ago he'd be a solid pick-up as an insurance policy for a potential Rice suspension... of course assuming he'd be willing to play at the veteran's minimum.

1-Rice
2-Brown
3-Worthy
4-JJSS
5-Watson
6-?
(7-?)

Remaining options: Remigio, Hardman, Moore, Ross, Toney

If you actually signed him you'd no longer need Watson.

Now that he sucks can we just call him John Smith? Juju is played out. And was the name of a good player for my favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs.

He couldn't even manage to outperform this scintillating group of WRs in NE:

He's cooked. Charbroiled to a briquet. Forget about it.

You can't "clean out" bone-on-bone. The only potential solution to bone-on-bone is what Gabe Landeskog had done, cartilage replacement. And that's still experimental, Landeskog had it done almost two years ago and still can barely skate.

JuJu is done. Toast. Like I've been saying ever since we let him walk. And we don't need him anyway.

Eh, I guess I’d kick the tires for vet minimum.

Kick the tires for vet minimum. But this dude is most likely washed

He’d be a nice insurance policy.

Unless you want Toney or Skyy Moore out there

I would like to add him to the practice squad if he would accept it. Call him up as needed

If he's getting the $7 million either way, his best move might be to take the year off to try and get his knees to a better place, then come back next year.

I don't care if he plays many games. Simply get him healthy and then unleash him in the playoffs/end of the year.

JJSS was our #1 receiver in a Super Bowl title season less than a year and a half ago. Toney has been an absolute catastrophe and at this point let's be honest Skyy Moore is a huge bust. If this makes you even a fraction better it is a no brainer. Never know when you will have a serious injury or two at receiver.
