The #Chiefs are hiring Steve Spagnuolo as their new defensive coordinator, sources say. The former #Giants DC and interim HC/#Rams HC began his NFL coaching career as an #Eagles assistant under Andy Reid. Now rejoins Big Red in KC.

Edit: Not true. I called for him to be fired against the lions.

That’s because you’re a butt fucking moron, but that’s a story for another time… [Reply]

It's been a few years but I distinctly remember leading up to Super Bowl LIV he said he still wanted a HC job pretty badly. Pretty sure he was talking with Mathieu when he said it. [Reply]
#Chiefs DC Steve Spagnuolo confirms that he has aspirations for a potential head coaching job:
"The guys that do it a second time tend to do it better ... if that happens, great. If not, I've got a pretty good job right now. I just want to make sure I keep the one I've got."

Harsh on 97’s D, I know, but those are the stops Super Bowl winning defenses make. While Gunther’s scheming when we had Elway on the ropes cost us a potential Super Bowl run, Spags rolled all 7’s and got the ball back to our offense for a game winning drive.
This is a little bit of revisionist history. As I recall, our 97 defense only allowed 14 points in that playoff game to the cheating Donks. And Grbac had a shot to throw the game winning TD but he failed. Those are the facts. [Reply]
