I think it's fair to say that DHop has been a big disappointment. Not sure if its him, Mahomes, the scheme, Reid...but he's been a big zero thus far. [Reply]

The entire trajectory of his time here was just...bizarre. He came hot right out of the game and made some early contributions on very limited snaps. I just assumed his role and snap count would continue to grow as the season went on. I don't have his stats in front of me, but it seems like the inverse opposite happened and his role actually diminished more and more as the season went on.
He's not the only one that's in a bizarre situation either. I'm not sure why we traded for Uche or signed Nelson either. I trust Veitch and recognize him as the best in the business, but it does seem like the front office and the coaching staff were a bit "disconnected" this year.
I'm not really sure what other explanation would make logical sense, but I'm all ears if anyone else has any theories. [Reply]
Belichick talked about how Travis Kelce is so intelligent as a perimeter run blocker. Here is a great example of it.
Has the arc block here where he'll block a second level defender on most plays. He sees the ILB is too far inside and then sprints to the safety just in time pic.twitter.com/x5Q2knO42P

Jason gave Travis a lot of credit for that block as well; said he did a great job of staying in phase with Patrick instead of getting too far downfield.
And Kelce says he knows who has the ball by watching the read key. So he said he saw the DE bite, presumed Pat caught the same read, looked up and saw the safety move towards the boundary and knew Pat kept the ball so that's when he identified the keep on the option and went after the safety.
It was really cool insight into just how smart and well coached the entire offense is. And of course, more evidence that Travis is just a football savant. That guy seems to see/feel everything that's happening out there. [Reply]
Getting to see Kelce's blocking abilities this year has been incredibly satisfying. Doesnt have the stats like a few years ago, but he's still helping the team in a big way. [Reply]
O line was horrific along with Kelce blocking. Got through on double teams etc. He didn't have much of a chance.
Great* thread here, illustrating how bad it really was. I'm not sure if a great Mahomes game even gets it done under these circumstances. (*informative, not fun) https://t.co/eDYGlOxmYk
