John Elway has 3 Super Bowl wins with the Broncos. Chiefs only have 2 wins.

None of that matters because according to you, the League is fixed.

It's going to be satisfying to tie and surpass their SB total without the rampant cheating.

Didn't realize you were counting his awful stint as GM. Yeah, he was super impactful in that 'win'.

Nevertheless, time to give props to some Pats assistants coaches/former players who have more Super Bowl wins than Elway.

And based on that criteria, Adam Vinateri and Jesse Sapolu had more successful NFL careers than John Elway.

Travesty that Jesse didn't make it into the Hall and Elway is there. Almost as much of a fraud as a player (*cough* *cough* Terrell Davis) making it in the Hall for only having 3 successful NFL seasons . . . . . .

Well, if we're being honest, his defense carried his old ass in all three runs.

123 yards, 54%, 0 TD 1 INT vs the Packers in '97--pretty impressive.

Not quite as impressive as the 173 yd, 38%, 5.1 average performance vs the Jets the next year though.
:-)

Yeah, that was a brutal stats game for him, but it was the Davis show.
The following year, vs the Falcons and his former coach (Reeves)... 18 of 29 for 336 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT with 1 rushing TD. And, he was the game MVP.

One thing about Reeves, his coaching in the SB always resulted in the opposing QB walking away with a ring and an MVP.

Elway was basically a more mobile Eli Manning

That was a good game, but it was about the only impressive game statistically during the SB runs.

Without a loaded roster across the board, he'd likely have finished with 0 SB wins.

FYI...

Denver's "loaded" receiving corps (including TEs) now returns exactly ONE player who had more than 467 yds last year. And he had 776 with a below average catch %.

Donkeys an injury from Sutton or Jeudy away from being one of the worst teams in the league.
