Okay, here is a place for the Golfers to talk about tournaments, clubs, swing help or thoughts.
Today is the Players Championship, which I think ought to be the 5th Major. Largest pot in the PGA. The daunting 17th, which seems to bring excitement every year. At least we will get to see Sergio blow up yet again.

Might have to suck it up and go out as a single and hope to get lucky when paired up.
Yeah, props to you. I can't do that. I can't play with people I don't know. Just doesn't work out and isn't enjoyable to me. [Reply]
I'm dying to play today, and my playing partner can't.
Such a waste of a beautiful day.
Just go play. When I had toddlers I'd get out occassionally and my friends never could go. I just called in to Golf courses and was placed with others for the round. 95% of the time they were cool guys and we have a lot of fun. Don't ever sit inside because you don't want to play with guys you don't know. [Reply]

I've never done it, but have been on the other end many times. (a single joining our threesome)
We have shitty luck.
Though I will say the last few times there's only been two of us and we were paired with another twosome, things went really well. [Reply]
It's actually one of the great things about golf. Most people are terribly boring, but they're interesting enough to carry on a conversation for a few hours. After that, you can go your separate ways without guilt.
Golfers are better single serving friends than the people you sit next to on flights. [Reply]

Why does my driver need to have adjustable weights? The ability to change the loft might come in handy someday but most likely would be a feature I would never use.
Does anyone actually get excited about these transformer golf club "innovations" ? [Reply]
