I wouldn't go that far.....but they definitely deserve to fall out.of the Top 10.
What bugs me is that Drink gives the impression that the poor play is no biggie and easily fixed. Cook is pedestrian at times and for some dang reason seems to lose sight of Burden too easily. And thos team does struggle with mobile QB'S..... [Reply]
These performances have Tiger Fan calling for Cook to be benched, scholarship revoked, etc. and for Drink to be fired for sticking with him. Folks aren't calling for Pat's head, nor should they, but it is fascinating to see the differences. [Reply]

This is an ignorant argument. The gap in talent between Mizzou and BC or Vandy is worlds beyond the gap in talent between the Chiefs and anyone in the NFL.
Have the Chiefs ever been a 20 point favorite? I think they were -17 against a historically horrible Jets team in 2020.
Also, in case you missed it, the Chiefs have won three Super Bowls. Cook's biggest win is a Cotton Bowl over an Ohio State team that sat most of its star players and used a 3rd string QB. He also barely eclipsed 100 yards and the offense mustered all of 14 points.
Haven't had a chance to post about the Tigers yet this season.
I have been encouraged by the defense. I think it's better than a year ago. Deeper, faster. I worry a bit about the second S spot, because there have been some major coverage busts where Williams gets caught looking, but the DL and LB group have been excellent, and the CB play has been better than I expected.
On offense, I think it all goes back to Brady Cook. He has played, so far, like the guy that we saw early last season, who just wasn't good enough.
He was able to elevate that play once conference play rolled around. Hopefully he can do that again.
I think they've been playing with their food a bit on offense... getting cute, not sticking consistently with what works.
As Missouri held on to defeat Vanderbilt in double-overtime on Saturday, Brady Cook had an up-and-down day. He had his lowest completion percentage of the young season, and Eli Drinkwitz had a strong message to the “outside noise” around his quarterback.
Cook completed 23 of 37 passes for 226 yards and two touchdowns as Mizzou came away with the 30-27 win in 2OT. He didn’t turn the ball over, though, as the Tigers were able to overcome three missed field goals to get the victory.
Afterward, there were some question’s about Cook’s rough day. But Drinkwitz pushed back in a big way during a Wednesday radio appearance, telling fans to pump the brakes and let Mizzou find its stride.
“When you look at his yards, I think he’s fifth or sixth in the SEC,” Drinkwitz said on 101 ESPN in St. Louis. “There are some plays out there that we all wish we were making in the pass game. We haven’t found a complete rhythm yet offensively. But the outside noise relating to him right now is ridiculous. People need to have their minds checked. And anybody who is suggesting that there’s an issue at the quarterback position is insane, in my opinion.
“Brady Cook is an unbelievable player. He didn’t put us in jeopardy. He didn’t throw an interception in the last two weeks. If he had, we wouldn’t win those games. Can he play better? Absolutely, just like I can coach better. But to point fingers right now, our fans need to have a reality check on that stuff.”
Oh get over it already. I heard the same thing from him last year and the same shit from you last year. We then went on to a top ten finish and they held their own in the two losses against Georgia and LSU. If they don't turn it around and blow this golden opportunity this season, then you can say I told you so. But if you want to give up on them while they're 4-0, then be miserable by yourself I'm not ready to throw in the towel until they at least end up losing games that they should win [Reply]

I was all for the kid until he went back to playing like the piece of shit he is. He's gonna ruin the best team Mizzou has had in years. Half of his games last year were ass. He has more ads than good. [Reply]
