With RB Isiah Pacheco expected to be sideliend 6-8 weeks, the Chiefs are bringing their former RB Kareem Hunt back to Kansas City for a Tuesday visit, per league sources. Hunt could help fill the Chiefs’ running back void. pic.twitter.com/nDzNGlrcuH

He's a decent pickup for a team that needs some RB help....with not many options because no one is going to trade with the 2 time Super Bowl champions without asking too much in return.
And everyone pining for Jet McKinnon needs to realize that the team evidently thinks he doesn't have it anymore or they would have resigned him earlier.
Wow, you have been here since the beginning and still haven't set your posts per page to 80? If you did it would only be 6 pages. [Reply]
We had an RB1. The Chargers didn't. The dude is comingoff an ACL tear. No one thought he'd hit the ground running, and no one would've thought tie goes to the Chiefs in this situation in a battle with the Chargers and others.
So, so sorry you're "frustrated." Boo hoo.
Dobbins making 1.6M for one year. CEH 1.7M for one year. Sometimes you make a mistake. Happens. So far it sure looks like we could have used him. Sometimes the Chiefs like to overly rely on guys they already know. Familiarity bias probably.
Either way, the more I think about Hunt I like it more. He's going to be more motivated here than anywhere else to show the world what could have been. He's still gotta be better than CEH so either way it's an upgrade. [Reply]

Dobbins is not the only guy to visit KC and not sign. It's happened multiple times since Veach took over. Breeland, Dennard, Darby to name a few. Dobbins went to a team who had his old OC and his friend Gus Edwards in the RB room. Plus a HC he knew wants to run the ball. It was an easy choice in the end when you add in he wasn't gonna be a starter here aswell. [Reply]

I absolutely loved him coming out but was sure he was done after yet another serious injury. I figured he was just another victim to injury after coming out immensely talented and never really getting to display it.

Yawn....do my personal choices bother you? [Reply]

Sure, but his injury history suggests he’ll end up on IR eventually. [Reply]

That's where I am as well. We're going to get a motivated Kareem, and spot on with the CEH reference. [Reply]

He made a mistake, it happens. He's a football player, not a priest. Judge not, lest ye be judged.
He got busted for weed while in Cleveland. He was crying in the squad car to the officer that he wasn’t a bad person, just makes shitty decisions. [Reply]

Hunt gonna wreck shit! Watch! He will be extra motivated. [Reply]
I know this won't make me popular but we haven't had a true #1 RB since Hunt left. All we had is a bunch of average RB's and that includes Pacheco. He was #17th in rushing last year, with 935 yds in 14 games. meh..I like him but isn't what Kareem was. Hunt had 1327 yds his rookie season and was on his way to that number again or higher before he left. He had 827 yds in 11 games for us.
The only question I have is the lack of a good RB the talent we have or is it because our OL isn't a great run blocking unit? I will be interested to see how Hunt runs behind this OL and that should tell us quite a bit. [Reply]

Let's say he was 17th in rushing over the entire season. That would imply that he was right in the middle of NFL RBs and very average. Hate to break it to you, but that is an average #1 RB.
Now let's consider that he only played 14 games. If we annualize that to 17 games, it's 1135yds.
Compared with other running backs who played 17 games, that's 32yds behind Derrick Henry, 13yds ahead of James Cook, 141yds ahead of Breece Hall, and 159yds ahead of Bijan Robinson.
I'm not saying he's better than those guys, but he's in the same conversation and bracket as them. And those are clear #1 RBs. [Reply]
