3 of those losses came the game after beating Buffalo. The obly following game where the Chiefs beat Buffalo and won was the AFC title game where the Chiefs still only scored 17.
Is it possible that playing and beating Buffalo all the time in the playoffs is both mentally and physically draining or are 3 of the 4 post season losses following playing the Bills a coincidence? [Reply]
You know, we also lost in the next game after beating the Bills to win the AFL championship in 1966. Now that I think of it, the Bills lost immediately after beating us for the 1993 AFC championship. Hmmmmm. Maybe there is something to this. [Reply]
The only year I think this would be true was 2021---the epic, emotional :13 second game, then followed by being up at the half the next week....there was just too much of a let down in that second half...and I do lend credence to the fact that Pat may have been concussed that second half.
And I still maintain that if Eric Fisher does not blow out his achilles, we win SBLV. [Reply]
The Bills are in the playoffs every year. So are the Chiefs. It's not surprising that when the Chiefs falter in the playoffs, it's after they have played Buffalo. [Reply]
They wasted too much mental energy & juju. Loosing to the Broncos to keep the Bengals out of the playoffs. Eagles players wore Burrow and Chase masks under their helmets [Reply]

Dynasties don't ever need to cope.
We've experienced pure joy. Orgasmic football bliss. We are an ascended franchise. Please do not deign to preach anything to us about this sport or our historic team.

I've always thought Mahomes HAD to have been concussed in the 2nd half against the Bengals in the AFC championship game, but I could never find a hit on him that really looked bad enough to do it. If anything after this Superbowl...I don't know if I still believe Mahomes was concussed against the Bengals. He played the exact same way in the Superbowl this year. [Reply]

Instead TRY MAKING THE FUCKING PLAYOFFS.
Coping during a dynasty is a sure sign of low self-esteem. Though delusion actually leads the parade, denial follows closely behind. [Reply]

Coping is a relative term. Coping with disappointment over losing the Super Bowl is a lot easier after winning the previous 2. Coping with losing the Super Bowl when you've never won any is a much more complicated process. I'm sure you understand. [Reply]

I'm talking about coping with Mahomes getting smacked around by the Bengals in the 2nd half and citing an imaginary concussion as the cause. Things like that. Sometimes you just get beat by someone better at the time. Tyreek tipping a ball the was intercepted (which didn't happen), etc. [Reply]
