I think the Commanders are going to be the leader in the clubhouse here and for good reason. They have a rookie QB contract and are very aggressive

Because his option bonuses for the next two years aren't due until the 5th day of each league year, the team trading for him would assume those bonuses.
I 100% could be wrong haha but I just looked it all up and while I do believe "Other Bonus" DOES move to the new team, "Prorated Signing Bonus" stays with the old team. Normally a team would have it a little better balanced, Base-Signing Bonus-Other Bonus's. But the Browns put like minimum amount into his BASE and the rest into Bonus's. When I calculated the cap hit I DID include "Other Bonus" I'll break it out.

2025:
Base: $1.255M
Prorated Signing Bonus: $14.76M
Other Bonus: $3.7M

To calculate what the new team will be hit with, I understand it as you add the Base+Other Bonus and the Prorated Signing Bonus stays with old team: $1,22M+$3.7M=$4.96M

2026:
Base: $1.3M
Prorated Signing Bonus: $10.625M
Other Bonus: $8.45M

New team cap hit: $1.3+$8.45M=$9.75M

Again I could be totally wrong

Skyy Less + Nazi Johnson + Carson Steele for Garrett.

You'd probably have to give him a new contract I'm assuming

I got the bonus numbers from spotrac.

DIRT CHEAP. You give up the picks and bring him in!
Good lord.

I'd be willing to part with two 1sts... wouldn't you? You're talking about a DL with Chris Jones and Myles Garrett for a two year rental. Mahomes with two Pro Bowl receivers and Andy Reid on the other side of the ball.

Like.... a fivepeat wouldn't be out of the question.

Watch Dallas trade for him. Jerry Jones loves star players.

He could have been had this year.

The biggest argument FOR doing it is you know one of your cornerstones, Kelce, is about to retire.

i wouldn't give up 2 1sts for him. I'd give up about what Miami gave us for Hill. i think there will be more desperate teams with better draft capital who will swoop in and offer too much.

Receptionist : Mr Berry, you have a call from a Bert Peach on line one

Andrew Berry : hmmm sounds kinda familiar. Patch him through

Brent : Hey Andy, been a minute since we talked, but I’m a GM for a NFL team, and I understand Myles Garrett might be available for a trade this offseason. Is this true?

Andrew Berry: It’s definitely in the realm of possibilities. Which team did you say you are GM of again?

Burnt : That’s not important right now, but I’m calling to make you one helluva offer for Mr Garrett

Andrew Berry : hmmm ok well let’s hear this amazing offer

Bert : you might wanna be sitting down Andy cuz this offer is gonna knock you off your feet. I did a little basic math, and this is what I came up with. Mr Garrett while a decent player, has zero rings. Yes zero, like Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson to name a few. Andy, here’s what we’re willing to offer, it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. Andy were offering you 2 (probably 3) time SB champion Skyy Moore, 2 (possibly 3) time SB champion Nazeeh Johnson, and 1 (possibly 2) time SB champion Carson Wentz for Myles “zero rings” Garrett! Now quick math tells me that after the Super Bowl these players will have a total of 8 rings between them. Now Andy I’m not sure if you’re familiar with a retired player named Tom Brady, but bandwagon fans have been calling him the goat, because he’s the only player with 7 rings. What we’re willing to part with is one more ring than he has. Now imagine trotting out these 3 players on opening night 2025. How dominant will the Browns be with more rings than any franchise has ever won? Imagine the so called goat wrapped up in 3 different players. That’s a home run of a deal. Now I’m sure you’re flabbergasted at such an incredible deal, so to make it a little more fair to us, we just request you pay a large part of this ringless players guaranteed money. I’m sure you don’t want to feel as if you fleeced another GM, so that would definitely get us closer to even on this remarkable once in a lifetime opportunity.

Andrew Berry : well it certainly sounds like an incredible offer. 8 championship rings vs zero seems like it’s too good to be true. Why would you make such a lopsided offer that doesn’t favor you? What’s the catch?

Bart : that’s why we’re just asking you to pay out the guaranteed portion of his contract. We feel it at least gets it close enough that we don’t feel it was a bad deal for us. So Andy, what do you think? If you’re not interested it’s not a big deal. The Steelers have shown some inte…

Andrew Berry : No, no. There’s no need to shop these players around. Send over the contract I’ll look it over, and if it’s laid out as you claim, I’ll get it signed, and sent back to you so we can announce this deal the minute the trade window opens. Browns fans are going to be ecstatic with all these riches! Might even earn me an executive of the year award!

Thank you Mr Bleach, send that contract over asap and let’s get this done!

Andrew Berry : send over the paperwork

The NFC is as wide open as it will ever be and the Commanders have Daniels on a rookie contract. Pretty certain they are also #1 or #2 in cap space as well. If I was their GM, I am going all-in. Garrett via trade and Tee Higgins in free agency.

And they have the money to give him a new deal and guarantee a shitload of it (or just bonus him to the hilt).

Their draft picks should also be a little more valuable than Buffalos, expecially if you figure that Daniels may have a bit of a sophomore slump.

Yeah, Washington makes a ton of sense.

I doubt an AFC team with a big time QB contract would be interested.
That’s why Denver might try to sneak in and add him to their defense. Or even worse could you imagine if Faders added him to a line of Crosby, and Wilkins? Might be a top 5 all time DL.

Yeah, Washington makes a ton of sense.
Chicago also has a QB on a rookie deal.

Wouldn’t their picks be worth even more than Washington’s?

Ben Johnson may feel like he’ll get the offense right with all those WRs.
