Yep. I'm this --><--- close to shutting down socials and just using CP for all my news. I did it for years and I'm not sure why I ever got on socials in the first place now. [Reply]
1 - People associate the term "dynasty" with powerhouse teams that mowed down the competition, but the NFL rule changes of the 90s have almost precluded that from happening anymore. So, the Chiefs might not be pounding teams into submission, but OTOH, the Chiefs ARE mowing them down.
2 - There have been 9 teams that repeated as Super Bowl champions and 6 of those occurrences were prior to the establishment of free agency and the salary cap. Since that time, there have only been 3 occurrences, and the Broncos cheated their asses off to be one of them. A really shallow analysis here would suggest that they cut the dynastic tendencies of franchises in half.
3 - The Chiefs get a lot of grief from the haters because of the fact that the Chiefs dynasty started coincidentally with the end of the Patriots dynasty. The "Patriot fatigue" transferred to the Chiefs because they all want their own franchises to win and the Chiefs now stand in the way in the same way that the Patriots did without any interim in which others "got a chance."
Orlovsky is right. The Chiefs don't get the respect they deserve as a dynasty. [Reply]

I did it about a month ago.
I come here to talk shop, and I still have notification alerts on for the NFL Insiders so I get the big news as it happens. But I don’t scroll any sort of social media feed anymore especially if it relates to football. It’s a waste. [Reply]
Success breeds haters… that’s just the way it is. Mahomes first year with Reid and that 50 td season, people were all in love and gushy over KC… now we are the New England patriots of the NFL, just comes with the territory - which is why I used to always laugh at the haters here about New England, people hate success when it ain’t you. This idea of disrespect is meaningless. What is the metric? Talking heads on tv and social media by fans of other teams?
Chiefs are the hottest team for broadcasts. Amazon, Peacock and Netflix all used Chiefs in the first game they had the rights to show. CBS Fox and ESPN respect the Chiefs when arguing over the broadcast schedule.
I would say that it is wacky that the Chiefs assistants are not hired by other teams. It is like other rising teams have to deal with that.
Seems like the only institutional disrespect is that the NFLPA Players survey is going to shit on the Chiefs every year until they build a new practice facility.
Chiefs fans should not play the crybaby when a talking head has a take that is not picking the Chiefs every time.
Chiefs are respected by pretty much everyone who matters and is thoughtful. [Reply]
Pretty sure he’s the one who said Allen is the best football player but Mahomes is the best QB so let’s not act like he isn’t one of those disrespecting the dynasty. [Reply]

Orlovsky's schtick is to blow smoke up everyone's ass on a rotating schedule. Every QB is the greatest. [Reply]
