While I agree that 80% of these games aren't as entertaining as past seasons, the drama has been off the charts
Watching one of the pregame shows yesterday go through all our outrageous come from behind wins this season really put that into perspective. One or two, that's luck, but ****ing 10 or whatever it is? That's championship pedigree on display
Plus being out of market and knowing everyone ****ing hates your guts whenever you're out makes winning the way we have this season even more chefs kiss than if we were boat racing teams. I can hear the collective gasp from my neighbors house every week :-)
You've convinced me that it's all staged. This is how Ric Flair used to win his matches when he was a master heel and pissing off opposing crowds. [Reply]
Honestly, I really miss the explosiveness of our offense. I see the Bills have scored 30+ points in 8 straight games and wish that we were seeing more of that. I'm glad to be 13-1. Don't get me wrong. But beating bad teams like the Raiders and the Panthers by 2 points and it coming down to the last play just isn't satisfying to me. We were all so excited this off-season because we had signed Brown, drafted Worthy, and Rice was poised for a breakout season. Then injuries hit hard and the left tackle situation was a disaster and all of the sudden, the explosiveness was gone. I shouldn't complain as long as we're winning and I should learn from last year that this team is able to turn it on for the playoffs. But I've been spoiled by the high flying offense and would sure like to see more of that. [Reply]
You have to be a pretty miserable person to not be happy with this team and organization.
Like a lot of you in the 40-60 demographic, I've watched this franchise tease the fanbase with records ranging from 10-6 to the dreaded 13-3, only to be let down in some absolute asinine fashion in the playoffs. Tony G. flag against Denver, the No Punt game against Indy, blowing a huge lead at Indy, (and driving home in a blizzard) losing to Pittsburgh without giving up a TD - I could go on and on and on.
We suffered through all of that - and now people are upset at a 13-1 team who has played in SIX STRAIGHT AFCCGs, been to FOUR Super Bowls and won THREE of them? Because of style points?
Y'all some spoiled motherfuckers.
Eventually this ride is gonna end, I'd suggest you enjoy it while you can. [Reply]
We are 13-1. We are just about to clinch the number 1 seed. In 2 months time we will be the first team ever to Threepeat. And the cherry on top..we finally cut CEH!!!
Definitely the weirdest 13-1 team I can remember...at no point has KC looked dominant...not even once. They've looked very utilitarian...almost minimalist...always a hair better than the team they are playing regardless of record.
Is Mahomes so good he has turned winning/controlling the point spread into an artform... [Reply]
I'm very happy about the team being 13-1, but I have to keep reminding myself that the record is as good as it is, because it sure doesn't feel like I'm watching a 13-1 team...at all. The defense is all that has prevented the team from being a dumpster fire.
I gotta believe Mahomes and company will flip the switch in the postseason like they usually do. [Reply]
I hope Mahomes and Andy can drag this team past the finish line and win a third Super Bowl so that we can say we've done something that's never been done before.
After that, though, I hope we take the next year (and maybe more) to regroup and get Mahomes some OL and WR help even if it means letting the defense take a step back. While I'm thrilled with our record and believe that our players and coaches are the primary drivers of that record, it just hasn't been much fun to watch this year and last. We've got the best player in the league. Let's let him look like it rather than turn him into a game manager who gets the shit beat out of him every week. [Reply]

I'd be all in on moving up in the draft to take a top 10 tackle. As high as it takes if there's someone there who is close to a sure thing. Watching Mahomes get pummeled is unacceptable. He deserves better than that, and keeping him upright should be priority #1. [Reply]
I'm very happy to once again be the front-runner for the #1 seed.
I'm very happy to see a Defense that seems to be improving and gelling as the postseason approaches (DL play ^^).
I'm beyond happy Patrick Mahomes II is my team's QB.
I would really only call one of the Chiefs' wins truly lucky - the game against the Raiders. They literally fumbled a snap to let KC end it.
That Broncos game? That was a great play that resulted in tremendous scouting AND performance when it mattered.
Bengals? I mean, it was clear and obvious pass interference that negated the attempt to catch a ball that would have been a conversion (after a holding call that wasn't THAT obvious that overturned another conversion).
Ravens? KC played good-enough D to make Jackson try that throw, which required an unbelievable effort and STILL would have required a two-point conversion success to be a loss.
If a team is making plays to win a game in OT or drive for a FG that wins it, that's not luck to me.
I look at what the Chiefs are doing and I see a team that is a little (maybe a lot?) bored, that is trying to get to the season when it matters, that is still playing its best WR less than 1/2 the snaps, that is, essentially, keeping its powder dry, and that still has some reinforcements incoming who can help with the biggest flaws with this offense... and I have a hard time mustering TOO much concern.
