Good thing is that he'll still suspended when KC plays HOU. No need to worry about that cheap-shotting POS injuring Patrick or any other skill player. [Reply]

His apology was bullshit. His actions immediately after the play happened proved that.
I have no doubt the apology was suggested by his agent to possibly help minimize league discipline. [Reply]

Yeah, the first time I saw the replay, that's what I took exception to. He led with his elbow and drove it into TL's helmet, making it look very intentional to me.
After seeing it a few more times, I'm starting to feel a little differently about it. TL did start his slide late, and he was right at the 1st down marker.
As the defender, what are you supposed to do? You have to aggressively defend that 1st down line, right? Can't just give it up because it's the QB. TL was outside the pocket on the run, so he's a RB at that point. Would an RB get that kind of treatment in the same situation? Probably not.
Not saying Shaair (however you spell it) shouldn't have been fined or flagged. But a 3-game suspension seems a little harsh after some review.
I think a 1- or a 2-game suspension would've been more fair. [Reply]
