I voted no as I don't bet on sports or anything to be honest. I don't look down my nose at those who do. I just have other ways I burn through money. [Reply]

Not everyone. But I find the percentage of people here who say they are winners is pretty questionable. Just like I would question most poker players who say they make money. It can be done, but it is rare. [Reply]

I lose all my sports betting profits playing poker.
Like I said, all time I'm down but I've had a good last 365 days betting small here and there. I make less than 5 bets a week normally. [Reply]

Much more of a percentage win at poker compared to sportsbetting. It's not high either way but its still waaaaay higher for poker. [Reply]
Most years I lose or break even. Though the last 5 years I've ended up ahead 3 years because of my SB bet on the Chiefs. In fact, 2019 I won over $2700. Last year I won that bet, but also lucked out and won several 3- and 4-legger parlays towards the last quarter of the season and won enough that I didn't have to pay for any X-Mas gifts and my next fishing trip to WY is going to be free.
But like I said, most years it doesn't work out that way.
Only sports betting I ever won consistent $$$ on was playing pool. But even that, the first dozen years or so I was an overall loser there as well. [Reply]
My brothers run a chicken fight farm in Hawaii, and I did pretty well there this past season, but I’m down this year on the NFL. Most years, I end up about even; sometimes up, sometimes down. This year, I’m down a couple hundred after betting big on the Bengals against the Ravens when I was on a 3 day bender in Las Vegas. The Bengals kicker missed the game winner, and they lost in overtime. You’re welcome, Circa sports book.
All it takes is hitting one good 6 or 7 leg parlay, and I’m back in the green. For me, betting is more about adding excitement to games that don’t involve the Chiefs. I could stop betting tomorrow and be just fine without placing a bet again.
Only bet on sports if I am at a casino sports book. Fun to hang out, get cheap (or free) drinks, watch all the games on huge screens, and cheer for the lady that made the crazy prop bet. [Reply]
Legal sports betting in the states has made it much more difficult. With millions more people gambling on games it’s gotten more and more difficult to make money. [Reply]
No. I suck at Sports betting so I stay away. Never got in too deep. Used to LOVE the old tickets where you would circle teams on the paper ticket, turn it into the bookie with yor bet. Usually $5 or $10 on a 5 or 6 team parlay.

Dec. 1 2025.
They could drag their feet until then on getting it up and running. [Reply]
