Nzoner's Game Room>Cheese
FAX 07:46 PM 12-04-2006
I am conducting an important ChiefsPlanet experiment. Please feel free to participate or not as you will.

This thread is about cheese. There are, as we all know, many varieties of cheese. There is munster, parmesan (good on spaghetti), cheddar, brie (known in France as "The Queen of Cheeses"), and lots of other kinds. Of note, one ounce of Wisconsin Cheddar has approximately 114 calories and 7 grams of protein. Cheese is pretty good and, in moderation, good for you.

Please feel free to post your thoughts and comments regarding cheese here. There is no need whatsoever to create another thread about cheese. Neither is there any need to post cheese-related information on other threads.

Very timely thread Mr. Fax, as I was just thinking about cheese the other day. I too, like pepper jack and also the provolone. I don't care for American cheese that much unless it's on a cheeseburger. On a rare occasions I'll enjoy some smoked gouda.

I used to really dislike cheeses that smell like toe jam, but I like them. Stilton is one of my favorites.

Last several years I've been into really good parmagean. It has to be exquisitly dry to the point that it flakes off the wedge like mica. That sawdust that Kraft sells shouldn't even be allowed to be called cheese.

It's a type of blue cheese. Cumbley in texture. Very full flavored. Smells like toejam.

Glad this is finally being discussed. Muenster. Muenster is my favorite Fax. Though not really for the "mature-pallet." If I'm childish about anything; well, I guess that it is with cheese.

The smellier the better. That how I pick my cheese.

Has anyone watched the tv show i did about this particular kind of cheese thats considered a delicacy in Corsica???

They take a big wheel of goat cheese & let it sit outside in the sun where flys get to it & deposit maggots that dig holes through it.

The fine "flavor" is actually the crapped out cheese digest of the maggots.

No joke.

I've heard of thee "Oh Queen of Cheese."
I've head you were a sight to please.
But I have heard another story
That robs you of a little glory,
'Twas told to me by Mrs. Cow,
I can't reveal her name just now,
As she lies resting in the shade.
Now word for word here's what she said.
Mooo
I Overhead James Harris say,
We're making cheese, let's make it pay.
I have this plan to advertise,
Produce a cheddar, Mammoth size,
Then ship it where more folks can try it,
And soon the world will come and buy it.
We'll need more milk to make more curd.
Go buy more cows, expand the herd.
And get more feed, they must be fed.
Oh Dead, said I, there goes my bed.
Soon cows MOOved in from all around,
Bawling, bellowing what a sound.
They horned in on my hay and grain
And udderly be came a pain.
Now you may wonder "What's the Beef."
I swear to you 'twas nought by grief.
In one small barn we all were squeezed,
So many cows for just one cheese.
It soon became all Black and White
We'd have to work both day and night.
We ate, they milked, they milked, we ate.
No COWard could withstand this fate.
I still remember hands so cold.
You daren't kick or you'd be sold.
We stood there while they pulled and squeezed.
A little gentler if you please!
So we were milked for all we're worth.
To Mammoth Cheese we cows gave birth.
Around the world and back it rolled,
Our seven thousand pounds of gold.
Its fame may rest in many hearts,
While we lie resting UDDER parts.
MOOoo..
