"Everyone is such cry babies. They drafted Todd Blackledge in 1983. The next quarterback drafted by the Chiefs to win not a playoff game, one game, was Patrick Mahomes, and I've got to listen to people be like, 'Oh, you're so lucky. The Mahomes draft pick really saved me. After losing that Steelers game, there just wasn't any cause for optimism at all. We were players in someone else's story.
Didn't matter the year or the reason. Whatever the outcome, our best case scenario was being the opponent at some point in some other team's 'Path to the Super Bowl' video.
It looked griiiiiiiiiiiim.
We earned this.
You're goddamn right we did. And I'll argue it's made us appreciate it all the more. You think the Colts really appreciated Luck? Fuck them. Packers with Rodgers, or now Love? Fuck them. Preachy ass Cheatriot fuckbags coming off Bledsoe? Nope.
Too many of those years were spent on the King Carl Peterson "5 year rebuild"
And every time I hear the name Todd Blackledge I feel my blood pressure rise. [Reply]
I get sick of having to listen to the anti-Chiefs crap. There are a couple of truths that they should all have to ackowledge.
1 - Every fan of every other team would LOVE to be having the success that the Chiefs are currently having.
2 - Any other fan that tells you they are tired of watching the Chiefs win is really saying that they wish their team would win it instead.
3 - Every fan that whines about the Chiefs getting all the calls is really just saying that they root against the Chiefs in every game. Everyone thinks the refs favor the "other team" and that their own team gets screwed by the refs. When those people are watching the Chiefs and hoping we lose, they are rooting for the other team, and therefor they agree that the Chiefs get all the calls.
4 - Everyone that whines about Chiefs fans being arrogant, etc, etc, is being extremely hypocritical. We have all heard the fans of other winning teams brag endlessly about their teams and how awesome they were. Furthermore, we have to listen to the fans of teams brag about their past glory. Packers fans love to call Green Bay "Title Town." Don't ever feel like you have to tone it down for any of those people because they would not return the favor.
I am not ashamed to be a Chiefs fan. I had to listen to fans of other teams ridicule my favorite team when we sucked. I suffered the slings and arrows of outrageous football fortune. They never cared about our suffering.
Fuck them all. We're the Chiefs and WE WILL NOT APOLOGIZE FOR IT. [Reply]

Up next: 4 SBs in 6 years ties the Steelers dynasty. I was there, oddly nobody cried about "the script", or "the Steelers get all the calls". Sure, there was no internet, but wood-paneled rec rooms were packed with men crammed around 20" tv screens watching the Steel Curtain take out Bert Jones, Pastorini, Stabler, and Staubach...nobody whined, they just respected how good the Steelers were. Maybe we've just become a nation of mewling twats? [Reply]
I think the best part of the giant Chiefs conspiracy is that a league owned by greedy billionaires would want a small market team from the middle of flyover country to establish a dynasty. Yeah, that'll earn 'em a ton of extra cash. :-) [Reply]

I just reached a limit on watching my team fail to win a playoff game, knowing it was just going to go on and on and on, forever.
And then Mahomes happened, and now I'm reaping the rewards of sticking it out through four straight decades of misery. Excuse me if I have a shit-eating grin on my face every once in a while, and all through the playoffs. I feel like I earned it. I feel like we all did.
Yep. It was after 2017 for me. The Titans blown lead loss. I told my dad who I watch all of the games with that I'll give the kid a chance next season and if he busts I can't keep doing this to myself. I would still be a fan, but I had to distance.
Fortunately Patrick Mahomes II was not a bust. [Reply]

I think the twats are just louder and emboldened on the internet. I think most people know the Chiefs are incredible and know they are fucking jealous. [Reply]
I have a friend that has been shoving the ref stuff at me for the last couple years. The irony is he's a Steelers fan who was gifted a ring from one of the most lopsided officiated games I've ever seen when they "beat" the Seahawks. Steelers fans don't know what pain is. They haven't even had a losing season in 20 years. [Reply]
