I'm going into the hospital tomorrow and will be having my left foot amputated probably Monday or Tuesday. Could be followed by my right leg sometime after that.
Diabetes is a bitch.
I don't usually talk about myself too much here, and I'm too argumentative to have many buddies on here...I don't know really why I even felt like sharing this info.

I recently lost a friend who was the same age as me to diabetic complications. He too had part of his foot amputated and then his leg above the knee. Shit went down hill after that. Problem was, he never really took care of himself.
Please follow Dr's orders and do all you can to keep your diabetes under control. I've seen a lot of people on mine and my wife's side of the family succumb to this horrible disease.

Mercy, that is awful news! I am very sorry that diabetes has given you such a bad deal. I don't know what words can comfort you or give you hope, but try as hard as you can to deal with this obstacle and live well. [Reply]
