Can't wait to get crushed for this opinion, but it just feels like asking for an undefeated season while chasing a threepeat is bad juju... its asking for too much IMO
I'd much rather we lose a game or two just to keep everyone frosty, to remind them that yes they can be beaten if they're not playing their best ball... look no further than the Patriots undefeated season to see what can happen when a team sniffs too many of its own farts
I don't want to meet Detroit in the Super Bowl with our heads in the clouds
Maybe I'm just being superstitious, maybe not... what say you? [Reply]

But again, the undefeated Patriots had tons of experienced and still hungry leadership... just saying I'd rather sacrifice 2-3 games to keep everyone on their toes/slightly pissed off, in pursuit of the trifecta
Detroit is going to be a damn monster, Hutchinson or not
The Patriots were proclaimed the SB winners way back in week 1 that year.
With us it’s “with the offense not playing great… this is a flawed team but…”
People still don’t believe in us. We’re still getting compared to that Steelers team that got their clocks cleaned against Cleveland in the playoffs [Reply]
I don’t think this is the same thing as the patriots pursuit. They dominated from the beginning and were due for a trap game. If we get there we will have gotten through lots of adversity and with dhop, Hollywood and Pacheco we will have late season momentum and we will have spent a lot of time figuring things out before the final stretch.
I don’t think it would be a trap for us if we go 17-0 [Reply]
It would be awesome, but I don’t want to be the 2007 Pats either. It would most certainly be legend status to threepeat and go undefeated in the same season. [Reply]
What you describe doesn't at all sounds like a Mahomes led team that's already won Super Bowls.... they don't need reminded what it takes.
Losing in the regular season, like the Colts or Christmas Day isn't them "forgetting" what it takes to win in the playoffs... it's just not the playoffs.
As mention though, I'd much rather seem them rest guys at the end of the season than start guys with the goal of going undefeated. [Reply]
I like history repeating itself. Bills get us regular season and we break their hearts in the playoffs once again. That is the only game I am iffy about left on the schedule. Good chance we lose a divisional game as well, we have 4 left on the schedule. 15-2 is the probable outcome for this season if everything goes great.

3. Imagine going undefeated AND winning the 3-peats, good lord!
4. If we do go undefeated AND win the 3-peat, will the talking heads call this the best team ever? Hmm… not sure this our best squad in the last 5 years talent-wise, but those accolades speak volumes.
See man, I just can't line up with #2
Going undefeated and losing the big one is no consolation prize, its the holy shit I choked in historic fashion prize [Reply]
But it will have to be with our backups if we've locked up the 1 seed.
I will say that with Carson Wentz under center, I feel much better than I would in previous years.
However, the Steelers are week 17 and might be fighting for their division, and the Broncos in week 18 and might be fighting for a playoff spot. [Reply]
