Exactly. If the staff thinks he's ready, he should play. Holding him out for no reason accomplishes nothing. [Reply]

Well you have to get them in there at least for a few plays. Practice and be in "physical condition" all you want, but there's also the mental aspect of the game speed that takes a bit to get back. Get them some snaps in non-critical situations and let them remember how fast things happen and what it feels like to get whacked full speed. [Reply]

It’s not about the results. It’s about the fact that Hunt is getting dinged up in every game now, because before Sunday Andy was running him at a 300+ carry rate/season.
It’s about the fact that Pat isn’t playing his best right now in part because of the lack of reliable weapons.
It’s about the fact that the defense is not stopping them every time anymore. They allowed a rookie QB that we were all laughing at because he had the lowest CPOE in the league (below -8%) before coming into Arrowhead and lighting up our secondary, allegedly a top-5 unit, including making McDuffie look like a JAG several times.
We lucked out that Toub’s ST unit blocked the game-winning 35-yd FG attempt.
And that’s not a good offense.
So, yeah, I’m 100% in favor of getting some fresh players on the field to shore things up a little, and maybe give guys like Kareem a little bit of a breather before the playoffs. Seems reasonable to me. [Reply]
