If they're "One and Done", they're IN the playoffs, so your statement makes no sense.
Now, if your asking "How do they get beyond the Divisional Round?", the answer is by good health to their highest paid players (Berry and Houston), their most talented offensive players (Hill, Kelce and Ware) and for their depth players to be available and healthy during the playoffs.
For the past two seasons, their best players weren't available come playoff time. While they skated by the Texans, Ware and West were injured in NE, Maclin and Houston couldn't play, Hali was hobbled and they had to start two backup offensive lineman.
Last year, Houston was a zero, as was Maclin. West was ineffective all year and Ware was, once again, worn down by the 16 game season.
They need their best players healthy and ready to go to have a shot at the AFC Championship. [Reply]

I don't know if it ever becomes public, but Smith did Andy and Co. a solid. He went to them with his plans beyond the 2017 season.. and it does not involve playing football. This is why there was great urgency on a young QBotF being targeted.

Just like we were 12-4 last year, but you want to talk about we were nearly 14-2, but piss and moan if anyone says we were 12-4 last year but nearly 8-8 at the same time. If you want to talk about one end of it... your choice on the 14-2... you have to allow the other side too. That's not being negative at all. All of us that watched the games realize we could have been anywhere from 8-8 to 14-2. We fell in at 12-4 when the dust settled. [Reply]

I guess but I don't know how to reconcile the fact that the Patriots had only 3 guys on IR last year (depth players) vs. the Chiefs having their best players on IR for most of the season and/or unavailable.
I'll say it again: It would take a plane crash for this team to lose 7 or more games. [Reply]
