The mighty Bills from Buffalo will take the AFC this year.
For two decades I watched people say the Patriots window was closed, that their time was dwindling, that it was all over… seemingly every time those predictions happened, the Patriots went and won another Super Bowl.
A lot of doom talk simply because we lost to the Bengals in the playoffs. Let us not forget that the Bills watched their brother DIE on the field just a few weeks prior. Their heart was simply not in it. If it had been, the Bills would have captured the AFC last year.
The Bills have won 2 of their last 3 in Arrowhead and they’re ready to make it 3 of the last 4.
Imagine having to resort to designed QB runs to beat the Cardinals. I get Lamar going all out on KC but to need every ounce of it to beat one of the 3 worst teams in the league? Allen injured running around like an idiot after 1 game? Uh oh
Meanwhile KC will take it slow all season and have juice left for a 3 peat... [Reply]

If Allen was drafted by KC, he has all the rings that Mahomes has. Thats not to say that Mahomes isn’t great - he is. But he was drafted into the BEST possible situation imaginable:
Mahomes was drafted to a team with:
1) A hall-of-fame offensive coach
2) A team with a hall-of-fame pass catching tight end
3) A team with a hall-of-fame wide receiver talent
4) A team that had made 5 of the last 6 playoffs
5) A team that had PLAYOFF wins with Alex freaking Smith
He was drafted to a DREAM scenario.
Allen on the other hand was drafted to a team with:
1) A rookie defensive head coach
2) A team with zero hall-of-famers
3) A team whose best receiver was Kelvin Benjamin
4) A team who missed 18 of the previous 19 playoffs
Allen was drafted into one of the absolute WORST situations.
If Allen & Mahomes switched draft places, Allen would have the rings and Mahomes would be seen as the 2nd best QB in the NFL. Just the way it is.
So yeah, Mahomes is no better than Allen. They’re equals, but Mahomes was lucky enough to be drafted into an elite situation.
Fact-check:
Who cares about what they inherited? That was 7 years ago. Allen's teams have been just as talented or more so the last few years. Nothing but early exits for Allen and two SBs in that span for Mahomes.
Unbiased sources rated several of Allen's rosters as comparable or better to several of KC's. Sure, Mahomes had a loaded offense his first few years, but Allen sucked at that point anyway and couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.
Allen's defenses have always been far better than Mahomes' until last season. And last season Allen's offensive talent was better.
You claim that Allen inherited one of the worst situations eVEr, and yet that roster went to the playoffs the year before, with TYROD TAYLOR.
In Mahomes' first season, he doubled Alex Smith's numbers (after Smith had by far his best stats ever). Allen's numbers were far WORSE than Tyrod Taylor's the year before.
As mentioned, nobody considered Reid a genius or a massive advantage before Mahomes arrived. He was considered a solid offensive mind who was very flawed in other areas, and a postseason choker. Oh, and there's that little detail that he was fired by Philadelphia. Usually you don't fire HOF coaches that give you a massive advantage over other teams. Last I checked anyway.

Verdict: EPIC FAIL
I remember when the worry was that Reid was going to cause Mahomes to be the next Dan Marino [Reply]

Dick Lix said last year's Buffalo team was "historically great" as well.

Well, yeah. Thanks for admitting our team is better, and has been the whole time.
They know they aren't winning shit so they are now Josh super fans and are creating their own storylines about how he is better than Mahomes, just needs better coaching, players, defense, etc
Of course if he really was even equal to Mahomes they should have zero excuses. Mahomes has won with weapons and without. With no defense and last year with defense.
Buffalo has declined so much it took running like an idiot getting himself hurt hero ball for Joshy to beat Kyler and the worst roster in football at home...wow [Reply]
