5-0 in NO a few years ago. 11-5 for mediocre Minny a few years earlier (sandwiched between 7-9 and 8-8 seasons).
Meanwhile, those KC rosters that you guys have always described as mediocre made Alex Smith a 2-time Pro Bowler and made Matt Moore look solid.
Ever consider that maybe your 0 Pro Bowler roster just actually isn't that good? And now you're without Miller, Fant and Harris. [Reply]
It’s gonna be fun watching division games again. Everyone in the division is solid.
People can try to knock Denver, but if Russel returns to form and Sutton/Jeudy stay healthy, they’re gonna be pretty good and will give KC a run for their money in the division.
Losing Shelby Harris is a big loss for their defense, though. He’s a damn good player that’s very underrated. [Reply]

IF...IF...IF...
How about they DO SOMETHING, other than SUCK, first. :-) [Reply]

This is where I'm at . . . . . .
Until they PROVE something on the field, why should any of us give a shit? They've been a bottom 5 to 10 team in the NFL since Manning retired. Until they go out there and win 10 to 12 games, make the playoffs, etc. no one should view them as a threat. They haven't proven jack shit on the football field.
Kind of like the Chargers in a lot of ways, who always seems to get all the pre-season hype and then inevitably crash and burn.
I mean, hell, the Faid who we probably make fun of the most around here at least made the playoffs this last year, after beating the Chargers in an epic regular season finale.
The Faid, at this point, deserve to be considered more of a threat than the Chargers or Donkos. [Reply]

I don't disagree at all... they have to prove it. I think there's a lot of reason for optimism and I've stated that as well as my belief on where they will finish. I think they'll surpass 10 wins and miss the playoffs. [Reply]

Miss the playoffs with 11+ wins and 7 playoff spots?
I think you’re just trying to avoid sounding like a homer. [Reply]

Not really, I think they can win 10 or 11 wins and still miss. The expansion may make that harder. Patriots had 11 wins in 2008 and missed, others have had 10 wins and miss. [Reply]

Weird that you left out his 4-11 season right before coming to the Broncos. [Reply]

There's no way in hell they miss the playoffs if they win 11 games, especially with the expanded playoffs.
And if they DID actually do that, then I think some of us here might begin to take them seriously, but until they do it . . . . . . (they're just the Chargers in a different package). Pre-season hype with no substance. [Reply]
