So.. if I'm reading the multiple articles correctly, Wilson started to struggle with the 2 high look in the 2nd half of the 2020 season... and was promptly bounced from the post-season. Get's his OC fired over "philosophical" differences then publicly passes the blame to Carrol....goes on to a 7-9 season with his new OC then is traded.
Have fun with "Team Russ" when the Donks dont produce to expectations and the fans start to turn on them...who will Wilson get fired first?
There is a reason his own teammates didn't like him...and was on the market.
It's all "grass is greener" right now...until the losing starts. [Reply]
Russ was smart. He realized that the Seahawks are Veach-like in their ability to draft players and didn't want to continue playing there any longer. With the player empowerment going on now, chances are Mahomes will eventually come to that same realization. Probably once Reid either leaves or can no longer cover up his GM's mistakes.

EDIT: I forgot about Mahomes’ stupidly long deal. He would have a very hard time forcing his way out.
Well..it's obvious top "empowered" FAs are climbing over each other to get to Denver...there's a line out the door... opportunities to play on a last place roster are rare. A losing culture is magnetic...
Randy Gregory was a hell of a score...surprised he didn't sign for free.
Have the Donks even signed a FA worth a shit since Manning retired from recruiting? Wilson may be the first... [Reply]

So Wilson could have said no, but the FA, wasn't exactly 'free' when they gave up multiple first round picks and quality players to get him. [Reply]

Sources close to the organization say " this is the best move the donks have made in years" and "4th place in the division is still very much a reality, but the arrow is pointing horizontal for the first time since the manningstein farce" [Reply]

It appears he's desperate to have major success. Got his "close" buddy fired after a 12-4 season. And he has to have everything his way or he starts to become a cancer.
Imagine how he's going to respond to being 3rd/4th in the division every year and struggling to finish above .500. Meanwhile, desperate Denver will cave to the middle-aged midget's demands and fork over the 250/5. This is going to be beautiful. :-) [Reply]

Top players rarely, if ever hit free agency. Denver does seem to be an extremely desireable place to play, though, as Manning, Rodgers and Russ all wanted to come here. [Reply]
The Chiefs are one of the best drafting teams in the NFL you ****ing moron. In no way are they comparable to the Seahawks, who are one of the worst.
No way. Not since Dorsey left. Maybe they've turned the corner with the last two drafts, but "we'll see."

The foundation doesn't seem to be as strong as it used to be. The 2018 and 2019 Chiefs were in a great spot, culturally, but now you have guys like Honey Badger, 'Reek and LeSean McCoy voicing negativity lately. [Reply]

You're reaching so hard. Tyreek and Tyrann both expressed their desire to come back, regardless of how salty they were that it didn't work out, and LeSean McCoy is irrelevant as it gets (and his issues were strictly with EB).
And after Dorsey left, the Chiefs were picking late every year with no 1st round pick almost every year to boot. They weren't building through the draft like they have been the last 2-3 years. They were busy going all-in and dominating the AFC.
They've absolutely knocked their last 2 drafts out the park, but keep clinging to the past to push your narrative.
The Seahawks couldn’t build an OL to protect Wilson for almost a decade. He complained about getting hit too much.
Mahomes got hit and pressured a record number of times in one game and his GM replaced an old, broken OL with an entirely new top 10 young unit in only one offseason.

No wonder Patrick loves Veach so much
KnowMo doesn't understand how close Pat and Veach are. It's hilarious how little he knows about the Chiefs despite this being his 2nd home.
Pat is probably closer to Veach than Andy. [Reply]
