Been saying this since the Tampa SB loss but Veach and Reid's main job is to protect the franchise QB. Do that and Pat will do the rest. Just look at last year where he dragged the worst WR group in SB history to a win you just have to keep him upright. So do your fucking job Veach and Reid.

This season I think he got hit more than any year in the past and we are lucky he is tough SOB.

That strip sack late in the game, I was sure he got his shoulder wrecked. I was amazed he came out of that unscathed. It is pretty remarkable the crap OTs he's been given the last few years.

That was one of the hardest hits I have seen him take in a long time. Just malpractice at this point to not protect your franchise QB. for fucks sake..

Mahomes mission to be the GOAT has taken a big hit with the SB59 loss.

At HT I thought it could have been Mahomes time to comeback, like TB12 did when the Pats came back from 3-28 to win SB51. If you want to be considered the GOAT, you have to do very extraordinary things.

Also, Brady has never been embarrassed in a SB. All of his SB losses were close games lost by one score.

Who cares.

He lost to Nick Foles and legit was penalized for cheating. Oh he also openly admitted to cheating too.

Only the Mahomes haters will just brush it all under a rug though. Doesn’t fit their arguments.

Do extraordinary things like throw 3 picks and get blown out at home, then turn around and lose at home again to Mark Sanchez.

Speaking of Pat. I also think QB sneaks should be back in the gameplan or some kind of tush push. Facing Buffalo and Philly and knowing they have that advantage isn't nice. Time to put everything back on the table now.

The media is full on stupid and totally hating on Mahomes. Mahomes is being graded on style points 10 years before his care is over. He can still pass Brady. Just because he didn't 3peat is meaningless. Brady didn't either. The loss was ugly but it's still counts as only one loss. It's not 5 because of how it looked.

If Mahomes went back to back again that's 5 and two times back to back. Don't tell me that's not GOAT!

No, you see, those don’t count because they were in the Divisional Round. It’s better to get smacked around by Mark Sanchez at home in the DR than to make it to the Super Bowl.

Would you guys say it's time to start blaming somebody if Mahomes looks like an elite game manager for the 3rd straight year next year? Because I'm kinda there.

I've been patient, but Mahomes is a unicorn. Forcing him to be overly cautious takes away what makes him special in the first place. Thats gonna be one thing I look at very closely next year.

Brady lost a lot of embarrassing playoff games before Super Bowls.

EDIT: Whoops, other guys beat me to the punch.

He performs very well in the postseason so it’s not quite as bad overall, but yes, if he looks mid in the regular season for the third straight season I will start to get annoyed. I miss our QB being a fire-breathing dragon.

Someone here already mentioned it, I think, but Brady lost a Divisional Round game in Foxboro to the Flacco Ravens. Flacco went 4/10 for 34 yards and an INT.

And the Ravens still won 33-14 lol

Anyone shitting on Mahomes just has a case of convenient memory loss.

I've said all along that I think the sweet spot for the Chiefs offense and Mahomes is about 2.8-2.9 seconds as his pop time. That's enough time for the routes to develop but not so much that he's exposing himself to too much punishment. You can still push the ball downfield in around 3 seconds, you can also work crossers and drags.

Mahomes, when he's in rhythm, is getting the ball out in under 3 seconds. He's really always been that way. And when he's doing the stuff he was doing Sunday, it creates a brutal vicious cycle where he gets hit MORE because of some of that stuff and that makes him MORE tentative.

It really did start out bad and just got worse. The whole offense just spiraled into the ground almost from the opening snap.
