I just feel like everyone is going to spend all week talking about Mahomes' ankle or Burrow being a Demigod or Chase against this young secondary or Lou Anarumo being a psychopath...and then in the end it's just going to Samaje Perine bludgeoning Bolton and Gay to death.

Their owner doesn't have the competitive fire any of the players do. He'd take an L in KC 100/100 before giving anyone a nickel more than he has to. [Reply]

$65 million for Burrow this year. Owner might be wanting to wait until Burrow’s cash drops to $30 million next year, which could make it easier for the owner to deal with Ja’Marr Chase. [Reply]

Here’s something interesting: Bengals QB Joe Burrow has been wearing a glove on and off today. Wearing it after team reps but took it off before he started throwing in individual drills. pic.twitter.com/pSW8FwrqBZ

Nah. Only because they wouldn't have him out there if he was in any discomfort.
Most non-Bengals fans won't care about this next bit so you can just check out right here. For those interested, read on.
That whole thing with Rapien and Pike reporting yesterday was a big nothingburger. So Burrow flexed his hand and looked at it. Duh, he had surgery on it a few months ago and he's been throwing a football every day for the last couple weeks. He's only sat out 1 practice in the entire training camp. Every practice he throws the equivalent of an NFL game, several times a week. People took what they said and blew it way out of proportion.
The glove was used between plays to create a littel moisture on his hand (sweat) because it was a very dry, windy day and he was back out there today in a joint practice with the Colts, throwing and acting just fine. He's done the thing with the glove before (between plays), but no one wants to hear that.
All that bullshit (see: Stephania Bell) about the cumulative effect as games wear on is Captain Obvious shit and it's all speculative as there's no precedence with a QB. He had surgery on a hand ligament, of course there's going to be concern as the throws build up and he has to brace himself every time he goes to the ground. What negates that is the suregeon that fixed his hand has cleared him to play QB in the NFL. The doctors/training staff on the Bengals have cleared him to play QB in the NFL. The coaching staff has cleared him to practice every day but one during training camp.
Every single person involved in his rehab and his every day activity will be monitoring to see if/how much discomfort he has on a daily basis and adjust his work accordingly.
And lastly (finally, right?) Burrow has already said he's at the point in his career where he listens to his body more than he used to, and doesn't try and push through tweaks and strains like he did when he was younger. He knows, more than anyone, he's missed big parts of 2 of his 4 seasons so he needs to be careful not to screw his wrist up.
There's always a chance he could screw his wrist up...or any part of his body for that matter, at any point in time. Just like any other NFL player. [Reply]
Joe Burrow spent at least 10 minutes chatting with his parents after practice today. The #Bengals star has officially completed his first normal training camp. He missed one practice during the first week, but was a participant in all of the other sessions🏈 pic.twitter.com/Qh0hRyAlGC
My best guess is the Bengals finish second in their division this year. A dangerous-ish wild card because they have a QB. Unless Chase really does hold out then they finish third. Maybe fourth. [Reply]

The defense will be better this year. Bengals will be Kings of the North again. [Reply]
